We stayed 3 nights in Catania, at Politi Residence. The hotel is right in the heart of the old city, a gorgeous building, very big rooms and beautiful panorama. The room was not cleaned thoroughly before our arrival since the floor was dirty. Bed linen very clean, but bed was very uncomfortable. Only 1 pillow per person was provided. Expresso coffee machine was mouldy and no washing up liquid or hand soap provided.

As soon as we walked in the flat had a musky smell. The kitchen cupboards, crockery and cutlery were sticky and filthy. No cleaning soap /dish cloth as we would have washed up.
