After my first trip to Alghero in July 2008, I returned this fall to stay at the Big Fish B&B to enjoy the beatiful city of Alghero and its wonderful genuine rural outskirts. And again: It was much worth it to choose the Big Fish B&B to feel like living like a real Sardinian. My thanks go to Franca, who... More

Problems found for the structure: 1) I booked BIG FISH B&B, but I was forced to go to ABA MAYA, which has no comments on the web and it is not even registered among B&B in Alghero. When you arrive you need to call on the mobile phone, because they bring you to this other house, which is not the... More

We stayed at the Aba Maya Alghero for a long weekend in Alghero. Keeping things short and simple: - Ylenia (the owner) and her mom (the owner of Big Fish) are simply delightful. They explained everything as soon as we got there and were more than willing to let us rack their brains on everything from what to do and... More

Some friends and I stayed at Big Fish for 3 nights in October 2010. Upon arrival Ylenia (Franca's daughter) made us feel right at home. The highlight of the trip was the leopard decorated rooms. They really are one of a kind! The beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet at night so we all slept very well.... More

We had booked Big Fish months in advance and arrived, after an 11 hour boat ride, in Alghero to find we were put in the sister-hotel Aba Maya. This was no problem and it was actually round the corner from where we were when we contacted the owner. The room was nice, the self-service breakfast room meant you could help... More

I've never written a Tripadviser review before but this experience should be shared: After doing some careful research on places to stay in Alghero for the first leg of our honeymoon in Sardinia, the Big Fish B&B looked just the ticket, so I emailed the owner and confirmed our booking with her several months in advance (stating that this was... Dear Guests, I am the owner of BIG FISH, I am very sorry for the bad book reviews, because I'm known for years as well as my B & B, but to my utmost hospitality and kindness to my guests. I received from Dear Guests by email a simple request for information f, regarding the possible availability of a room... More

Quiet B&B located close to old centre of town. Very clean room and spotless private washroom. The owner, Franca, was very friendly and helpful with suggestions about what to do and where to eat. More

Firstly, booked through hotels.com who sent an incorrect map of the apartment. Secondly, when we found it, it is an apartment in a residential area. No response to doorbell, neighbours told us to call number on wall which was unobtainable, as was hotels.com helpline. There are plenty of other hotels in this town that are better. Please don't rely on... More

I love this B&B! The rooms are clean and fresh and looked like they just had been renovated. You have your own big bathroom with nice white, fluffy towels. It is like a hotel just without the front desk. It is in a nice area with lemon trees just outside your bedroom window. Shops and restaurants nearby. It takes 10... More
