We stayed in the Franciscus for two nights in April. The hotel is ideally located about a 10-minute walk from the train station, but also a short walk from the old center of town. The room we were given was absolutely enormous by European standards. It felt almost more like a suite! The bathroom was also a good size and... More

This is a small, modest budget hotel in Verona that we would definitely stay in again for location and value. It is in a perfect location, esp if coming by train - a 10 minute walk from the train station and easy to find. Its then just another short walk (5-10 min) to the Arena and all the main sights... Small hotel within walking distance from the station, very good location for visiting the old city. Very spacious, nicely furbished room, with a large, comfortable double bed, a couch, an armchair, small fridge, a pretty small TV with Italian channels. Large, clean well equipped bathroom with shower. Our balcony opened toward the inner yard of the neighbouring buildings - the... More

This hotel was a good choice. The location was great - easy walking distance from the station (even with luggage), and easy to find. It was just a short walk to the historic centre, so a perfect base for exploring Verona. The room was clean and comfortable, and the host was helpful. It was a good place to stay and... More

This is actually quite a pleasant B&B. The room was large and comfortable enough, although breakfast was not especially good compared with other hotels in Italy in this price range during our short tour (yes, stale cereal and oddly tepid milk are among the features). However our stay got off to a very bad start. We had phoned the hotel... More

On a trip round Italy this was the largest room of all. The room was lovely and not expensive ( we did not go in opera season). The room was clean and comfortable. There was a fridge in our room and also a hairdryer in the bathroom ( not available in all hotels in Europe) The internet was available reception.... More

Although we had no intention of visiting the opera at the fantastic arena, we stayed during the opera season during a self-planned tour of Italy. This was, perhaps the first mistake as accommodation prices are exorbitant throughout this time. The 'hotel' was easy to find; the walk from the station on a very hot day didn't seem too taxing. However,... More

Very large room, and very convenient to the train station. On a quiet street, less than 10 minute walk to the Arena. Very reasonable rates considering things are quiet expensive during Opera season. Nice breakfast and internet connection. In a nice gesture to what must be a majority of opera patrons, they have seat cushions you can take with you... More
