Perfect place to stay at if you visit Venice and want some quiet time after a hectic day. I can also recomend a kayaktrip in the canals and this is the place it starts from.

This is a great alternative to the usual tourist trap hotels in central Venice. Unlike many of the places in central Venice, there's lots of green outside space around the hotel and on the grounds of Certosa island. The hotel is modern but not clinical. The room was a good size with a big, comfy bed and the bathroom was...

We stayed there two nights in April 2012. Staffs were so friendly and we enjoyed our special stay in Certosa.
Location is away from Venice(15min by boat), but easy access.
If you want to stay quiet and don't mind taking a boat to go to Venice island, this is the place! Also, it's easy access to Murano and Brano island...

We visited the Hotel Certosa in venice for the time of carnival in venezia :)
it was a very nice hotel and the location was amazing, far away from the chaotic ''turrist-traffic'' in the little streets of venice during the carnival time.
the crew of the hotel was more than friendly and the hotel was very clean and very very...

If you want a quiet and romantic place to stay after a busy day in Venice then this might be just right for you. We came with our 2 year old son and the staff was very helpful in providing us with all necessary (e.g. morning milk at 7am for our son to the door). Rooms are nice and clean,...

Hotel Certosa is located just off the main Venice island, but travelling is very easy takes just 10-15 mins from San Marco square. Hotel has free night shuttle for its guests.
Overall a good quality hotel with very helpful staff.

The hotel was on a remote island that you can only get to by request. And if you are going at night ypu can't get there unless you get off one stop early and ring the hotel to send the shuttle. Once one Certosa island you have to walk through a creepy old boat yard and the whole place looks...

The Hotel Certosa is a unique spot to stay, and it gives you a different perspective on Venice. You do have to take the vaparettos often, but getting a 3-day pass or similar, makes you think less about how much they cost. And they were reliable in getting you to town in about 15 minutes. And for those wanting to...

The hotel was wonderful and really made our trip to Venice. The hotel is fresh and clean and the personell is very helpful with any requests you may have.
The fact that Certosa does not lay in the centre of Venice and that a water taxi is needed (which is provided free from Certosa Hotel) makes the experience exotic and...
