We absolutely loved this hotel. It was in a perfect location and the canal view absolutely made the trip. We sat drinking wine and watching the gondolas go by every afternoon. While it's not fancy, it was all we could ask for. It was a good bargain and did not disappoint. More

Although I meant to reserve a room at Hotel Campiello, I mistakenly pulled up Al Campiello (also in Venice), not a two star hotel, and reserved a room with extra bed for two nights. I later realized my mistake after trying to confirm my reservation at Hotel Campiello. The Hotel figured out the mixup because it happens often. Although Al... More

HOTEL Contacted hotel directly prior to visit to find out how to get there, where to eat etc and to reassure ourselves that it was OK for our 4 night stay. Maurizio (reception) was great and answered all questions helpfully. Booked over phone and email was sent as confirmation. When we first arrived in Venice, we took his prior advice... More

We booked our stay at the Al Campiello Inn, but were actually given a room at the Hotel Al Vagon (where they direct you to check in). We never did figure out how this worked between the two hotels, but the room turned out great with a perfect canal view (Room 25). The furnishings and decor were dated, but the... More

We've just got back from a 5 day trip to Venice and this hotel was a perfect location for our stay. It's important to note that Venice can only be seen by foot or boat (no cars at all) so your location is important. Al Campiello is situated just 5 min walk from the Rialto bridge and 2 min from... In all fairness, Al Campiello quoted a rate of less than half of most other Venice hotels (euro 110). That said, you sure get what you pay for. The room was dreary, with bugs (both living and dead). When we returned after a day of sightseeing, wet towels that were left on the bathroom floor (we had to use them... More

Al Campiello is a traditional Venice lodging, situated right in the heart of the real venice on a canal called Apostoli which is just behind the Rialto Bridge. This hotel, once a palazzo was in an excellent location for the water bus service or to see the main sites of venice on foot. Our room was beautiful with double windows... More
