Alla Corte Rossa is located in an eighteenth-century building that fronts Canale Briati in the artistic and historical centre of Venice. The nearby area, very smart and quiet, provides visitors the occasion to enjoy evocative and delightful Venetian emotion. The Alla Corte Rossa is situated near the arrival points of Venice: - Piazzale Roma (bus connection from and to air-port Marco Polo Venice and air-port Treviso) - Railway station Santa Lucia - Port of Venice
They cancelled my reservation 4 days before I arrived! Didn't say why. Offered alternative accommodation that looked nothing like the original one.. Avoid this place if you can! Way to ruin Venice trip for me.

Corte Rossa... Amazing B&B experience!!! Matteo the host, was very kind, gentle, attentive and helpful!! I and my friend had a great experience in this little paradise.. 10 minutes on foot from Santa Lucia station. Calle overlooking the canal. guest house has a typical Venetian taste with large bright room, super comfortable bed, sofa, super clean toilet and towels. In a quite location the room was lovely and well presented although the whole building could do with a little attention (re painting and new carpets). We arrived early but was able to access the building to leave our luggage so we could go explore. The breakfast was lovely and served to your room in a pic box basket each morning. Staff very polite and helpful. Had a very pleasent stay.

We arrived late and our keys were waiting for us. Not a problem. We ascended the stairs to the room on the top floor only to enter what we can describe as a sauna. The room was boiling hot. We tried to work the air conditioning but it would only pump hot air. Overnight we were so uncomfortable, we couldn’t sleep. There was a fan in the room which was useless and only circulated hot air. The following morning I went down with our breakfast request and tried to explain our problem to the lady in reception. She hardly spoke a word of English and with her expressions and body language appeared very displeased at me talking to her and was nothing more than rude. Our breakfast was delivered to the room. Cereal, no milk. No spoons. Very difficult to eat cereal without a spoon. I had communicated the day before with a nice lady who had kindly given us instructions on our arrival and advice on how best to transfer from the airport. I messaged her and she informed me that they still had their air conditioning set to heat. The technican would not be able to come until Tuesday. We were leaving Wednesday. Unfortunately, we were stressed and tired and had no option but to find another hotel.…

We stay here whenever we are in Venice because we love the location. It's only a 10min walk from the Bus Station and it is off the tourist trail so you get to walk through the residential area while not being too far from Academia.

We stayed for two nights in November and absolutely loved the hotel. In particular the location was great, just of Campo Santa Margherita, where you'll find loads of nice bars and decent restaurants. It's also just a nice 20 min stroll to St Mark's or the Rialto Bridge. The room was comfortable, although nothing spectacular, but for the price we felt it was a great deal. Breakfast delivered to the room in a wicker basket is a lovely tough, but only suites to lovers of sweet pastries. If you want anything savoury, you will need to grab your own from a supermarket!

This place was a great price and was really nice, very typical Venice looking inside and the rooms. The service of the people on the front desk was exceptional and very professional, customer service orientated. The rooms were very clean, great windows and nice little Venice views. The breakfast was lovely and all seated in a cosy, low slung area. So, overall, I would massively recommend this place for anybody wanting to stay in old city of Venice. Brilliant. You do pay a tiny fee for tax when you arrive, if it wasn’t clear on any of the booking sites/apps, but we’re talking 3 or 7 Euros here for a night, so nothing shocking.

The b&b is in a great location for the train and bus station; both are approximately a 10 minute walk away. The area that the b&b is located in is very quiet and on the other side of the Grand canal to St. Marco Square (it took us about 45 minutes to get to St. Marco Square although there is a water bus stop about a 10 minute walk away). The room itself was very large with a lovely view of the canal and breakfast was brought to our room each morning. However, the room was a little dated and needed freshening up - there were dirty marks on the wall, a hole in the wall (were the bathroom handle had hit it) etc. The bathroom had a bath with a hand held shower over which made it a little difficult to shower without getting water everywhere. Despite this, the room was clean and a small breakfast included (we got a pastry, roll, yogurt, coffee and juice each morning). For the price in Venice this was good value - it’s not the most luxurious place to stay or anything special but we couldn’t complain for the price. …

Terrible service. The owner was very rude. It was never indicated anywhere on the website or through any communication that we would need to pay the city tax in cash (which we had none of because we were on our last day of a two week European vacation). We explained this to him and asked if we could just add it to the fee of the room and pay with our card. He was a huge jerk about it and was very condescending and tried to make us feel like complete idiots. Sure we should have had more cash with us but his job was to make us feel welcomed and taken care of and we never once felt like that. Breakfast was cheap and all came out of packages and the woman who cleans the rooms and provides breakfast doesnt speak a lick of English which was a huge inconvenience. Rooms were dingy and had stains all over the carpets and walls. Dimly lit and no good view of the city. Bathroom was tiny and you can hardly even fit in the shower.…

Stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights, it is based in a very quaint and quiet area of Venice. We found it easy to get to from the train and bus station and it was a stones throw from Campo Santa Margherita which has lots of nice restaurants and pubs used by locals. This is more of a guest house than a hotel, there was a front desk yet it wasn’t manned 24/7. We were given keys to the front door and to our room. The room was clean tidy and spacious. It came with a mini fridge, tv, and air con. The breakfast was hand delivered in a basket to our room everyday and contained a few croissants and yogurts. There wasn’t a huge selection but it was enough to start your day and keep you going to lunch. Only slight issue we had was that the hotel staff didn’t speak much English. Overall the hotel was very reasonably priced and clean, there wasn’t much more we could ask for! We would stay here again. …
