We booked here because it was cheap and the reviews were excellent. So is this review! The proprieter was the best I've encountered. He emailed us on booking so that he could meet us at the dock and guide us to this hard to find (but well located) idyll. He then provided us with a map of "good places to... More

This was my first bed and breakfast experience so I have nothing to compare it to. The host (Mario and Esmiralda) were very nice and accommodating people. Mario met us at the Boat stop and guided us to the home. This was definitely needed as it' easy to get lost. He had a map prepared of the area with a... More

Residenza degli Angeli is a nice place in a very quiet residential area just off the Grand Canal. Mario met us off the water bus and walked us through the 'streets' to the B&B. He explains the directions very carefully to make sure you know exactly where to go. The B&B itself is behind a nondescipt door, the entry area... More

I stayed at Residenza degli Angeli in October 2011 with 2 other girlfriends. We were on a girls only trip to Italy having left family behind. We were very lucky to be welcomed by unseasonably warm weather which we were very grateful for. This B&B is great. The owner Mario met us at the water taxi stop and walked us... More

Read "Hotel Alex" reviews to compare and contrast, because this is under the same management. It's an unmarked, cash only accommodation with one small bathroom for 10+ people. My wife had an impatient guy knocking for her to vacate, and everyone waits morning and night for the next to leave. Breakfast is OK, but a little stale. Coffee, tea, juice,... More

Venice accommodation was difficult to find in early June because of the opening of the Bienalle.Having never visited before, we had no idea of the best area to chose, prices etc and had no recommendations.Chancing upon Residenza degli Angeli was pure luck as we contacted the Hotel Alex and Mario emailed us to say that hotel was full but that... After spending one afternoon in Venice a few years ago, we dreamed of coming back to spend more time exploring this city of magic and beauty. Last year, our dream came true, as we spent 4 days as guests of Mario and Esmeralda at the Residenza degli Angeli. This B&B made our trip! The room was comfortable, clean and quiet,... More

The location is perfect. Our beautifully decorated room looked out into a classic Venetian courtyard and street. The room, as before mentioned, was perfectly situated and the bed was one of the most comfortable we slept on in Italy. The breakfast was European (bread, coffee, etc), but of high quality and enough to be filling. The true delight was Mario... More

Nice stay, accommodation was quaint and expensive for what it was but we were so happy to be in Venice and was the cheapest and best reviewed in our price range. Hosts were nice, Mario recommended a few restaurants- one was brilliant, a little osteria round the corner but the other was shocking. More

My husband and I stayed here late December. The weather was cold but we prepared for it. There were lots of tourists but I don't think there were as many as in the summer (I had come before in the summer of 2001). This B&B was great. The owner Mario met us at the boat dock and walked us there.... More
