I had made a reservation on their seemingly sophisticated on-line reservation system almost two months in advance of my trip to Venice. A few days before departing on my trip, I contacted the hotel to confirm. At first, the hotel would not answer my calls which were well within their business hours. Then a woman answered, and after the greeting... More

This is a quaint little Italian B & B, in which you can tell you are in Venice. The room was delightfully furnished in tradition where we were staying. The owner, Nanni and her sister went beyond what would be expected of a B & B. They gave me detailed directions to get from the airport to the B &... More

Venice was our last stop during our thirty day vacation in Italy. I was pleased with all our lodging selections except Ca del pozzo bed and breakfast. First, the location is not in St. Marks Squre; instead it is located in an old, decaying piazza or campo called San Mauricio. Just a word about garbage collection: in the evening the... More

In Venice please expect exactly what this city is able to offer: it is a venetian spirit, not a town. To be in the middle of this marvel you must accept old houses, hidden-dark streets, to be more or less in an other century. This B&B is a room in a house, as many are in Venice, each level being... We recently stayed for 2 nights. The room was clean and reasonably well equipped (lots of clean towels, hair dryer, shower gels etc), the shower worked well and we had a fridge in the room to keep water and drinks cool. The hotel itself was well placed for St Marks Square, but set back enough to be quiet, and was... More

Our family of 4 stayed 3 nights in the dorm room, which was cheap and adequate but provided no breakfast, no towels, and required cash payment (easily done with ATM's around). And it's a LONG was up the stairs! Annalisa was very nice and did arrange a free water taxi to a Murano glass factory tour (you need to buy... More

Clean and comfortable B&B, short walk from St Marcs square and Ponte dell' Accademia. To save us getting lost, we were met at the nearby ferry stop and escorted to our apartment by the owners, who even helped drag our heavy bags up to the dreaded staircase (it's Venice, don't expect elevators). Our shower had drainage issues, and the washing... More

The emergancy was hers, not ours. Ca Del Pozzo had water damage two days before we arrived, so the owner, Nanni, arranges a small, self-contained "pensione" for us within sight of the Rialto Bridge, and one block from the Rialto markets - a wonderful spot. And it was slightly cheaper than her B&B was to have been. Nanni met us... More

I see the reviews on this one are very mixed. It all depends what you want, and you really do need to think about what you're letting yourself in for when you book a bed and breakfast (and that's what this is, NOT a hotel) in the middle of Venice, at these rates, which are very low for what you... Travelling in the off season can make finding accomodation that's suitable (and open) a little difficult. But wandering the streets of Venice, I stumbled on this little gem, and was welcomed so warmly by Nanni who really went out of her way to make sure I had a most remarkable stay in Venice, and in particular, at her brand new,...
