This hotel was not a hotel more an bed&breakfast. Room was very dirty and dust floor was full of hair. Matras was complete worn out. Breakfast quality low as possible bread. Airconditioning did not work properly We did not get fresh towels. Bath room smell bad and ventilation did not work. Poor hotel never going back to that hotel again.

After reading some of the reviews we were reticent about following through with our reservation, however, we were pleasantly surprised with our visit last week. We booked a suite as we were traveling with our family. This is a historic hotel, hence the building itself is several hundred years old, which lends itself to the ambience of the experience. We... I have never been to Venice and I am glad we picked the Arte. It was centally located to almost everything including public transport via the water taxis. San marco is close and countless cafes, shopping, and restauraunts are with 5 mins walk. The rooms had AC and a nice bathroom. Like many hotels in venice this was a former... More

This hotel is very well located, quite in the center and it is easy to find. The staff is very friendly although they don't speak perfect english, but I think it's pretty much like that everywhere in Venice. The bathroom was clean and good, a bit small but it is ok! The rooms are very cozy and well isolated, and... More

Centrally located and cheap for Venice standards. I was there recently with a group of friends, and we expected the worst after having read the reviews on TA. We were pleasantly surprised, eventually. Everything was okay, there were even bathroom amenities! We had the safe fixed, and it worked, same with the heating. What needs to be replaced is the... Awful... Terrible... The worst I have ever stayed in. We just came back from our trip... It is dirty, uncomfortable, no toilet paper unless you ask for it, don't even dream about getting clean towels until you go downstairs yourself and explain why you need them and hopefully they approve your reasoning. Breakfast was very poor. And don't rely on... More

For the price there are better places to stay. Although the location is great, rooms are cramped, not too clean, the air conditioning useless (imagine in July !) and the breakfast inedible in an even more cramped room - the worst I can remember having (and I'm nearly 50).

Charming setting, but very problematic. Not up to basic standards. ROOMS. Mine was very underlit, so that I could hardly see to pack and unpack. Absolutely no helpful literature for the room user, nothing about TV channels or how to select, nothing about phone use or how to contact reception. The only sheet of paper in the entire room was... Dear guest, what can we say? What is sure is that we have been waiting for this kind of judgement (you promised!) since the very moment the same Expedia through which you had made the reservation, underlined the fact that it had been your mistake, not ours. We would like you to notice that we are NOT a three stars... More

Just back from a few days in Laconda Arte Hotel not impressed and wouldnt go back to this hotel, dark and dreary room, no lounge or bar, luckily not our first visit to the wonderful city of Venice and won't be our last but in a different hotel.
