We stayed in this hotel in 2009 and enjoyed it mainly due to its great location 5 minutes from St Mark's Square. The hotel has been undated some and expanded. Our room was basically the same as before, serviceable and small. The breakfast area has been moved into another part of the hotel and much larger. The hotel seems better... More

The usual in venice, where the entrance is on the gorund floor and then it's like a tardis when you get upstairs.I have read some conflicting reports about this place and I can see why. When we arrived,4 of us,the receptionist, monica, was absoloutly brilliant.Speake 5 languages and a bit of many others and had a great sense of humour. The rooms,in the new part,were... I booked this hotel online and was a little hesitant as some reviews said it was difficult to find. However, with a map, we found it very easily. We were also given the main floor room we requested as my mom is 80 and there is no elevator at this hotel. The staff were most helpful and friendly with directions... More

My wife and I and two other couples stayed at Hotel Mercurio in May 2013. Upon check-in two of the couples learned that the suite they had booked online which slept 4 in reality was a double room with an extra bed. After some discussion with the manager, we were able to get two rooms for each couple although neither... More

We booked this hotel after trawling through the choice of thousands for our first visit to Venice. We opted for a suite (room 63), as the cost was econmical against other prices we reviewed. The hotel also included breakfast. Venice is a labyrinth and this hotel, as it turned out, was quite straight forward. On arrival at the doorway you... More

We stayed two nights in early July in this hotel and it was lovely. Very helpful and friendly staff. Big room. Quiet part of town. Nice breakfast and a lovely roof top bar with a great view. I'll be back asap

Small hotel with great location. Central but not in a too crowded street. Little minus is that room sold as "superior room with balcony" actually just had a french window or in some instances not even that. Owner did not seem to think that this was in any way his responsibility. Otherwise nice and friendly service. Room was small but... More

Situated at a corner near St Marco's square, near the central shopping area of Venice, this hotel is definitely good value. Guests would have to walk up a flight of stairs to the reception. Internet connection was fast and the room decent with the usual amenities. Breakfast was good and the staff friendly and helpful. Otherwise no other complaints and... More

My husband and I just went for a 3 nights stay in Venice and stayed at Hotel Mercurio. I recommend this hotel to everyone who wish to stay in central Venice, it is only 1 min walk to St Mark square and very near Rialto Bridge as well. Our room was the first one you find when you enter the... More

Great location, we had the canal-side suite, which was basically a separate flat, with three tall windows overlooking the gondolas passing under the bridge. Once you stop getting lost walking around Venice ;) this is 5 min walk to the main attractions. Good breakfast too.
