I agree with the other reviewer that the Locanda Leon Bianco is more of a hostel, but I do not think you can buy more space or convenience for the price. The bed was warm firm and conducive to a great night's sleep for this 67 year old and the room was spacious and bathroom more like the U.S. than... More

Let me start with the good points: It is less than five min to Rialto Bridge and the market. Less than 15 min walk to Marco square. The room was very big compared to other hotel rooms in Venice and finally our bathroom was clean and modern and all baths amenities available and replaced every day. The bad: I believe... More

Locanda Leon Bianco is a rustic Venetian dwelling. It has sloping and uneven floors, flaky paint but that is why we loved it. Our room was number 2. It is a double room with a beautiful view of the Grand Canal but not the Rialto Bridge. Rooms 3 & 4 have both, but are more expensive, they are called Junior... More

My wife and I stayed for a month at the Leon Bianco hotel in Venice. The 15th Century hotel is located right on the Grand Canal just down from the Rialto Bridge. Our room had a fabulous view of the canal and both my wife and I spent many hours watching the boats on the canal from the early morning... More

Let me start by saying those who come and stay at this place and then write a bad review clearly did not read up on it's unique character ahead of time. It pays to do your home work. We knew exactly what to expect and got more than we expected. We found the walk down the "alley" perfect. One minute... More

OK, we have just got back from a short break here, The good news is that it is well located and the staff polite. The access is not good - down the alleyway and the tiny square not well looked after. The first hall you enter is, I hope, being re constructed. It had a pile of wood and was... More

For us, it is like coming home. Just to stand at the windows of room 4 and take it all in is worth the trip. If you want a Holiday Inn or Best Western experience, this is not the place for you. It really is not a hotel like many people expect. The first time you walk the back street... More

We went at the end of March for a weekend to Venice as part of our 'mini-moon'. Stefano, the owner, was incredible helpful prior to our trip, sending very clear and detailed directions from Treviso. Since we arrived very late and the surrounding bars were about to shut, he gave us a little wine bottle on the house, so we... More

I stayed in this terrific hotel in January and it was such a treat! Lovely, clean, spacious and quiet. The location was fantastic and the price couldn't be beat. The owner Stefano is wonderful. He is so kind and gracious. I will stay here every time I am in Venice. It was a wonderful experience! I can't wait to go... More

We stayed here last week for 3 days and it was a perfect location with a lovely big room The hotel itself was a little challenging to find but I think that's the same for most hotels there! The hotel room was lovely and we had bit frenh windows that opened up onto the Grand Canal with a corenr view... More
