We stayed in this hotel in September 2011. This hotel needs renovations not a nice glossy brochures -very misleading. Wall in our room was covered with mould. Shower needs attention as well - small 600x 600 mm mouldy bathroom, noisy water pipes. TV not working. Breakfast average Reception staff was polite. Good location of this hotel, walking distance from the... More

I went to Venice in the middle of Carnival and it was amazing! Regarding the hotel, we only stayed there one night and left really early in the morning. The room was spacious and clean: it had everything we needed. The hotel itself is an ancient big house, very beautiful, but it really doesn't have elevators. The street market happened... More

The hotel is located quite near to the train station, less than 10 minutes walk, but far from main attractions. My husband and I got a street facing room , thus it was very noisy at night and even early in the morning (like 3 , 4 am) as the stall holders are setting up their stalls. The hotel is... More

we were here in September and found the location to be pretty good, easy walk to the main parts of Venice and all restaurants. We were Eurailing around Europe with our three children and walked from the train station and it only took 15 minutes. We had a family room which was quite big however, a bit wierd having the... We, my two teenage children, wife and self, visited Arcadia Hotel this month. We reached late because we flew into Roma and then caught the Eurostar to Venice. We were shown to our room overlooking the fruit stalls and market. The bedsheets were of excellent quality, soft and clean and of brilliant good cotton. The bathroom was big size only... More

After staying there for 2 nights, I wonder who wrote the positive reviews of this place! THE BAD: In a nutshell: the room is in need of a good renovation! Needs a coat of paint to cover the mosquito smear stains on the walls and ceiling. There was a hole in the wall (!!), the art is so cheesy it's... More

Very good budget option. Stayed for a week in Sept 2009. Location perfect for both transfer from/to airport and exploring Venice on foot/by boat. Rooms basic and a bit dated, but spotlessly clean and fresh towels provided daily. Continental breakfast (wonderful coffee!) served by corteous and smiling staff in a spectacular room. Modest breakfast choices can be easily supplemented from... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and tried to avoid it as much as possible. Our first night we had no baby cot as was requested. I showed my receeipt to prove we requested one and they still continued to argue. Finalyl my husband went and talked to them and they managed to get us one...but it was broke so... More

As others have said before this is a great hotel if you're looking for a bargin in a good location. Do not stay here if you are expecting the latest mod cons - it's basic and is ideal for those rating comfort and good value above all else. It's in a great location. Very close to SL Train station which... More

Given that the train station is on the other side of the city from San Marco (the heart of the action) your hotel is either going to be near one or the other, so you need to make your choices. This hotel is near the station, which is great when you are dragging cases around, and it is also near... More
