When we reserved our rooms at the Centauro Hotel in Venice, Italy we thought that 233.33 Euro/night ($312.67 USD/night) would give us a decent room. The location wasn't bad, water taxi dropped us a short haul to the door. What we didn't expect was rooms on the 3rd floor-European (4th floor-Western, no lift, no one to assist with bags, a... More

i arrived at the hotel thanks to the reviews i read on how to find the hotel once you find Manin square. it was no problem to leave my bag with them as i was too early for check in which enabled me to explore the area and get my bearings and have lunch. the staff at the hotel were... More

We arrived in Venice mid afternoon. It took a bit of looking around, but we finally found the Hotel Centauro. It's a fairly small place in a historic building among many historic buildings. Our room was very pretty, the furniture antique and comfortable. The breakfast that was included was adequate for our needs. The only problem (and my reason for... More

Well located for an evening concert at La Fenice. The hotel was good and great service. Well located between Rialto and San Marco. Good breakfast included - 1 hour Internet connection included. More

Stayed there two nights ago for one night. I think we paid £80-85 for our room. Location is really excellent - very central, being in the San Marco section of Venice. Room was much better than we expected. Very nice comfy bed in a smallish room (but fine for us backpackers). Room was nicely decorated with a thick shag brown... More

We had a bit of a battle finding the place, but I think that was more a case of the language barrier, fatigue and not preparing properly. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there isn't a lift, but fortunately we were on the 2nd floor. The room was nice and spacious with very comfortable furniture and sound proof... More

I didn't expect that the room would look just like they do in the pictures. There were easy to follow directions on the website from the Rialto traghetto stop so I didn't have a hard time finding it. The room was clean and well furnished. I really like the tall ceilings. Breakfast was good too. If you have a heavy... More

Hotel Centauro is located just right, 10 min walk to Piazza San Marco, Peggy Guggenhiem 2 mins from the Rialto Bridge and Accademia. Very central!!! Overlooking the canal where you can hear the gondoliers singing. Things to note are that it is closer and simpler to get to from the Rialto vaporetto stop. We made the mistake of getting off... More

The hotel is closer to the Rialto stop on the Alilaguna vaporetto from the airport (about 5 minutes) than to San Marco stop (about ten minutes) as indicated on the site. Il was hard to find as the front door is not on Campo Manin, but on a one-meter wide street by the side of Veneto Banco. The buffet breakfast... More

Second time I stayed there and still a great place to be in Venice. Very close (but not in) the crazy part of the tourist packed center of San Marco. Located about 200 yards from the Rialto Bridge on a little alley off Campo Manin, the hotel has great staff, wonderful breakfast area, and good rooms. Be advised though that... More
