We had a lovely weekend at the Vivaldi hotel it was just close enough to St Marks to be in the heart of things but not so close that it was noisy. The hotel itself was lovely, not huge, with a nice bar, beautiful views and very pretty comfortable rooms. Breakfast was excellent. We would love to stay there again,... More

We happened to visit Venice during the annual Regatta and had a very difficult time finding a reasonably priced place to stay. By default we found a room here, and negotiated the room price down by 50 euros (still very expensive), but we had an incredible view of the Giudecca Canal and the lagoon since the hotel was right on... The hotel is right on the Grand Canal, only 2 blocks from St Marks. The area in front of the canal was very quiet at night so this was a perfect location. Our room had an excellent view and the service was perfect. Each morning we started our day early with an excellent breakfast and would end our day with... More

The reception staff, especially Tomasso was very helpful. He was very prompt with answering our emails before we travelled. We had requested a large room and this was provided. It was a pleasant surprise to find ourselves almost in a small suite with a separate bedroom and sitting area. All our requested specifications were met with. The location was superb,... More

We went to the biennale at the end of October and took out three teenage daughters. We booked two rooms on the first floor facing the water near each other - they had a corner bedroom with a balcony and we had I think a superior double. It is indeed noisy on the front but the view is worth it.... More

Buongiorno! I'm happy that you enjoyed your stay despite the few things you mentioned. Actually the AC is turned off during october, for Italy october is winter!!! Anyway we do have repellent for mosquitoes, you just have to ask at the reception. For any need (also for the thing that you think we don't have!) do not hesitate to ask... More

In searching the internet for a good hotel in Venice, I felt like I was really taking a gamble never having been to Italy, but, wow, did we ever find a jewel! Being a classical musician, I noticed the name 'Vivaldi' in the name of the hotel, and then learned it was his house at one time--had been made into... More

We arrived in Venice, our first stop on our trek thru Italy, around Noon on October 9th after a long flight from NY. Upon our arrival we found the hotel staff to be very polite and welcoming and the location perfect to navigate the streets of Venice. We were able to access our rooms immediately which was a huge plus.... More
