This past summer, my best friend and I did an 'Around the World in 30 days' type extravaganza. Venice was a must see! However, hotels and resorts in Venice are far too overpriced. But we struck gold with Villa Stella, a bed&breakfast gem located on the island of Lido. The property was gorgeous, spacious and a 5 min walk to... More

We arrived at Villa Stella late after a nightmare 12-hour day of travelling on trains, boats and buses. We called ahead to let them know we would be late getting in and they were more than sympathetic and polite, which was a relief. Although getting to Lido wasn't the easiest, we were warmly surprised by how welcoming and inviting Villa... More

Stayed here back in September, prior to boarding a cruise. Location is great, being close enough to get to the main attractions of Venice, but away from all the hussle and bussle. Very close to the beach too and with a few good restaurants in the area. Moving on to the property and the staff, both were delightful. The room... More

We chose VIlla Stella for a Silver Wedding Anniversary trip to Venice - our first visit to the city. It's a small, friendly hotel a fifteen minute walk - or a five minute bus hop- to the boat station. From there it's a rather nice five minute lagoon voyage to St Mark's Square. They knew it was our anniversary so,... More

I have stayed at Villa Stella many times (5+), as it quickly became my number one choice accommodation in Venice (for business and pleasure alike). Located on the beautiful and elegant island, Lido (where the film festival, conferences, nice beaches and great seafood restaurants are located), Villa Stella allows you to escape the chaos of Venice for some excellent comfort,... My boyfriend chose this place to stay when we visited Venice in May, and I think he chose very well. Our room was right on the top floor, but it was very nice and had high ceilings and large windows. It was a bit like being in a tower (not so good if you are not fit though, so ask... More

Our stay at the Villa Stella was really wonderful. The rooms were very well decorated. The bathrooms were modern and spacious. The breakfast spread was super and the staff very attentive. The breakfast area is outside on the patio and the garden is wonderfully maintained. The breakfasts consisted of meats, cheeses, yogurt, fruits, cereals, hard boiled eggs, wonderful croissants with... More

We chose to stay at this B&B because it came highly recommended from a friend who had stayed there on two ocassions. Villa Stella was a delightful place to stay for a short break to Venice. It is a hidden gem and tucked away on the lovely island, Lido. It is a decent stroll from the main shops and cafes... More
