After staying at a nearby very modern hotel, we moved to this elegant hotel and were very pleased with our stay there. The hotel is well appointed with artwork, antique furniture, and carpets. The front desk team were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were relatively small but clean and quiet. The only limitation was a lack of control of... More

Since staying at this hotel we've discovered it's a bit of an institution in Milan - run by the same family for many years. There are varied reviews of it here, which suggests it has a variety of room types - some better than others. We stayed in winter and so had a double room on the second floor. It... More

My single room was on the small side, with no desk & chair. The bathroom was quite small and I'm not sure how I'd get into the shower if I'd put on 10Kg. The hotel in general is OK, with deep red decor throughout which makes it a bit dark inside. It is located on a main public transport artery... More

This Hotel is, if anything, underrated by the reviews you read. It has an excellent old world feel, and is scrupulously clean. The staff are very helpful and unfailingly friendly. It's location is very easy for rail and metro access to the city and to airports. The breakfasts are simple but more than adequate. There are several great eating places... More

A very enjoyable stay at Hotel San Guido. The service from front desk was better than I have experienced at many 'luxury' hotels. The no.2 tram stops right outside the hotel which will take you to the centre in no more than 10 mins. Excellent hotel and great value for money, we will return.

I lived in Milan for several years and often walked past the San Guido but never really noticed it because the exterior is easily overlooked - just a doorway in a facade of storefronts. However, on this trip it's Fashion Week in Milan and all the hotels in the area have bumped up their prices or are fully booked. I... More

We arrived at this hotel quite late after a long journey from Paris. First impressions were not good-roadworks had made finding the hotel difficult and the reception area of the hotel was full of guests who had been enjoying a long party with plenty to drink, However, the staff were extrememly courteous to us and to all their guests, our... The room was clean and comfortable, The toilet was clean as well. My mom loved the guest lounge. It was very charming. The breakfast was okay, although I think the coffee could be better. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. I agree with other reviewers here in that there are a little traffic (tram, perhaps ?) noise in the room but... More

I stayed here because I was visiting a friend who lives nearby. The staff was very friendly. The room was small but cozy. Some noise from the traffic below could be heard but was not a major problem. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom shower was too small by American standards. The hotel provided both wi-fi and breakfast in the... More

This is a well-run, affordable hotel with a nice old-fashioned feel to it. The hotel is an old building and when it was refurbished the owners have taken trouble to maintain the charm and the 'typical Milanese family environment' of the original, using antique furniture and finishings throughout the hotel. The tram stop for the No. 2 tram is right... More
