Hotel is wonderfully located for attractions and restaurants. Clean and well priced including breakfast. Staff is great and knows enough English to converse and be of assistance. Was going to stay one night at first but liked so well extended to two.

The Hotel Impero is awesome! Some of the staff know some English, sufficient enough to help get you around. They are Very friendly. Breakfast is good but if you don't like it there are a ton of bakeries and coffee houses within 2 blocks. Be careful if you come in the spring, temperatures vary and if it's been cold, the... More

the impero is excellent. you can't get closer to the city of 150 luthiers and birthplace of stradivari. the duomo (from 11hundredsomething) is right there, and can be seen from the balcony if you have the right rooms. bars, restaurants and night life all around, but it's never too noisy. rooms are tasteful, large enough and have comfy beds, a... Hotel lists itself as a 4 star hotel, but it's really a 3 star. It was very clean and comfortable, but in need of refurbishing. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast the usual european fare. The location is the hotel's best feature--you can walk to everything. There are a lot of restaurants, bars and shops all... More

Location was good- an easy walk from the train station and central to the sites and old centre. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Room very clean and comfortable, with overlooking views of the weekly market. Breakfast was as usual- meat, cheeses and pastries- all good. I would definitely stay here again.

The previous reviews here are judicious - this is a hotel uneven in many ways. The front desk is not friendly or helpful; the rooms need maintenance and upkeep; all seems a bit tired. Yet, it's the best location and is actually not very expensive so the price/value relationship is not out of sync. There don't seem to be better... More

The hotel has a fantastic location, few steps from everything, but rooms need an upgrade and other services request an emergency maintence. Front desk girl was not very friendly, makes us feel unwelcome. I will consider other hotels next time, there are many around the area.

This was the start of our 2-week trip and it was a great hotel. Full breakfast, ample room, adequate lobby with leather couches, opens onto a sweet Piazza, just around the corner from a cute lunch place and another huge Piazza. Central and walkable to everything. Quiet. Beds a bit hard and flat. Windows opened to a beautiful view of... More

This hotel was VERY loud - our room overlooked one of the courtyards where there were several outdoor restaurant / bars. The noise from these courtyards was very loud until 2:00 AM or later each night. Furthermore, the hotel itself had seemingly thin walls and lots of noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms. Our family slept terribly there. Everything... More

The hotel has a superb location. We could see the Duomo by craning our necks out the window, and just below is a lively piazza with lots of cafes. There must be soundproofing on the windows because we didn't hear anything. Our room was comfortable, tastefully furnished, and the air conditioning worked well. Everything was sparkling clean. Breakfast was average... More
