It was a little away from the train station, but it wasn't an expensive cab ride and they provided bus vouchers that helped getting back to the station for our day trip to Cinque Terre. Their breakfast was "traditional Italian" which is more bread, pastries, and cereal, than anything else. Their room was a good size and clean. And there... More

We thought this hotel was a good value for the money. We opted for a shared bathroom, which was never a problem. The breakfast was great. There was air conditioning and free internet with a computer provided in a room across the hall. The only downside was that we arrived at the train station at 9:00 p.m. and did not... More

Our stay in La Spezia (which we chose for cost and the boat ride to Cinque Terre, rather than stay in one of the 5 Terre) turned into an unexpected treat. La Spezia is a real city with tourism only a component of the city's life. Franco Costa, proprietor of ca' dei Costa, is a genuinely nice guy who went... More

Very happy to have found this hotel. Located just a quick walk from the city center, with many restaurants and cafés on the way. Clean and large rooms, cheap and free use of internet computer. The breakfast was great, and staff was very friendly and helpful. Great balcony! More

Hotel Ca Dei Costa is a good bace if going to Chinque terre and Portovenere and on a budget, the breakfast was the best we had out of all the places we stayed at in all of Europe, and the staff very helpful. More

Franco was so helpful from minute one, discreet and nice. The room was clean and quiet. 10 minutes from city, and a few steps from the beach. The restaurant next to the hotel is popular among locals and we had an great dinner there following Franco's advise. Stayed 2 nights, great base for Cinque Terre. Great Breakfast, actually bigger than... More

We spent three nights at the Hotel Costa, with the intention of using it as a cheap base for exploring the Cinque Terre area. The hotel was one of the more affordable in the area, and was certainly a great value. From the train station, it is probably a 20 minute walk to the hotel, and it would be worth... More

La Spezia sucks. Plain and simple, it is not the place to be. My friend and I were staying there so we could explore the Cinque Terre parks (a highly recommended vacation for hikers and beach-goers alike). Unfortunately, all the hotels in Cinque Terre were either hard to access, full or too expensive. We don't have the most money so... More
