Staff were very helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate a GF breakfast for me which was fantastic. We had a large room with fresco on ceiling - added character to our stay The hotel handy to port and aquarium as well as ferries to Cinque Terre. No shortage of eating places nearby Very pleasant stay. Would have... More

We spent one night at Hotel Balbi. It is located on the second floor of an old building that is loaded with charm and character. You can easily walk to many of Genova's sights so the location is perfect. We arrived on a week-ned so the parking on the street across from the hotel was free. The room was spacious... More

Hotel Balbi is fine for a night or two in Genova. You can explore the town on foot from there, and the street is easy to find. The place has a certain old fashioned charm. Be warned that it is on the second floor and there is no lift. The free wi-fi is a bonus.

Been here for a 2 night stay to get the Whole family to the Acquarium in Genova. We're 5 and getting a good room for a decent cost can be very difficult, expecially in the city center. So we get this hotel name via Booking.com. Inside an historic building in the very city center (200mt from the Harbor and from... More

When we travel within Italy we use the trains. This hotel is located within walking distance from the train station. This hotel is in the upper floors of the building and it doesn't have an elevator. If you use the call box at the street entrance they will send some one down for your luggage. Our room wasn't fancy but... More

Hotel Balbi is a compact, utilitarian 2 star kind of place. Nothing special in the way of facilities, but the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the WiFi works great. The best part of this hotel is the location - just a few blocks away from the train station, Genova Piazza Principe, basically up the hill and around the corner... More

This hotel was love at first sight, when I saw the frescoes on the ceilings I knew I want to stay there. And I wasn´t dissapointed, it is a nice and cozy hotel. The price was reasonable and the location convenient. It is just few steps from Stazione Principe, in the same street as Palazzo Reale and the old harbor... More

We booked a double bed room with shower and bathroom. The rooms are not so nice as it is shown here in the photos. I don't know how they made so nice photos of those rooms ! This hotel is located on the third and fourth floors of an old building and it DOES NOT have elevator. The building is... More

This hotel had a nice decor, but the bed was the hardest, most unfortable bed I have ever had to sleep on. I had to take the clothes out of my suitcase and lay them out the mattress before I could get to sleep! There was a lot of noise and strange cooking smells coming from the courtyard. The breakfast...
