This is a really good hotel. Charming and old-fashioned, it has a welcoming reception area with free newspapers and mineral water, and an old-school cage lift to take you up to your room. Old it may be, but its in good condition. Clean throughout, our room (4th floor, front-facing) was large, well-equipped and perfectly clean. The bathroom has a good... More

Having arrived late on the train, we were delighted that our hotel was literally steps away from the train station, and our room was lovely and spacious with a 'jacuzzi' bath (which we did try out)! The staff were very helpful and we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast for the 2 nights we stayed. The shower head was poor leaking to... More

We had two rooms at this hotel and two different experiences. One room (137) was quite dark with no view whatsoever and was near a service door which, when closed, caused the whole bed to shake. This lasted on and off until about midnight. The other room (132) was on the street front so had a view and was very... More

We stayed in Genoa for one night at the end of our holiday. We arrived by train (the hotel is very near to the station) and got to the airport using the Volabus - Genoa airport does not have a train connection. The Volabus was fine but at 6 euros each (bought from the news kiosk) it seemed a bit... More

The facade of the Hotel does not do it justice. Inside its very nice all round from the foyer, staircase and antique lift (which is all part of the joy in staying in Europe). Excellent service and hotel was spotlessly clean througout include our room. We only stayed one night so being near train station was perfct, but also very... More

This hotel was in a perfect location...right across from the train station where we took day trips to Pisa, Cinque Terre, Milan, Florence, Venice and Rome. The restaurant adjacent between the two hotels was excellent. But the most special surprise were the people who were at the front desk...helpful, courteous and spoke English! Our room was spacious and clean. We... More

Had a lovely stay here for my surprise birthday treat. Our room was clean, spacious and I didn't notice any noise. Only downside was some odd lighting that over our weeks stay we never got the hang of. Breakfast was excellent, with a huge variety of options. The barman Phillipe was also wonderful, the right level of attentive without being... More

Its near the principe station if your just coming into town for a day. you don't hear your neighbors much between rooms. The wood and metal otis elevator will time transport you into genoa's past. the staff is generally helpful.... More
