Just got back from our stay in the Bristol Palace. Admittedly, some of the decor could be modernised but for me the faded elegance is all part of its charm and synonymous with Genoa (and perhaps Liguria) as a whole. As two female travellers, the Via XX Settembre location was one of the main reasons we picked this hotel (we... More

Stayed at Bristol for 3 weeks in March for the purpose of my work....We were a group... this hotel is centrally located in the main road of Via XX settembre..... and the biggest positives are 1) its location. 2) Breakfast served as complimentary is also excellent with lot of options... 3) The hotel had a good wifi connectivity with excellent... The Bristol works well enough, occasionally missing something, and mostly charms. It is a little damp in places and for some it's wonderful, for some it's near repellent. If you want efficiency, it shows it at breakfast then dozes, offering occasional help. From some angles it's beautiful, from some its shabby. If you want a hotel well located near the... More

The Bristol Palace is located near the opera and other sites of Genoa. The seaport area is in walking distance. The hotel itself is first class with great service and high-class rooms. Although we were on the street side, the room was dead-silent. Don't let the small hotel entrance and lobby fool you, this hotel is fantastic. I would return... More

Wonderful ambience, nice place, old times flavour this is the hotel Bristol Palace. Rooms are super clean, even if some things are old and difficult to be cleaned. The staff on the reception is good but tipically Northern Italy stile, so not too much friendly. The breakfast is delicious and copious but I was'nt able to find the bacon. I... More

We have been touring parts of Italy and we found this hotel on tripadvisor.co.uk - never again will I believe what I read! Yes the location is o.k., yes the rooms are enormous, in fact so large that they are extremely uncomfortable as they are not furnished comfortably, instead the furniture is so depressing, the bathrooms are grim, the towels... The hotel is located in the center of Genova, within walking distance of all major points on interest. It has a beautiful staircase which is the only impressive thing in this hotel. Now the downside: - we reserved a quadruple room with 1 double bed and 2 single beds for a family of four (we explicitly chose this option at... More

If your main priority is being close to all of Genova's main attractions, historical buildings and museums this is the hotel for you. It's located on Via XX Septembre (main shopping street) and a stone's throw away from Piazza Ferrari. The staircase in the hotel lobby is impressive and the hotel breathes a certain elegance, although some parts are in... More

Located as centrally as possible, this hotel was a treat and a trip to the glorious past. Oriental rugs were nice, but dangerous; need securing. Breakfast buffet was outstanding with some views of Piazza Ferrari. Will revisit if in Genova again.

This is a good solid hotel who service and value has not changed in years. It is however what it is and you should not expect any more of it than that. A sort of faded jaded elegance that never quite hits the 4 stars it proudly shows off. I love the staircase, the linen sheets and the linen hand... More
