My boyfriend and I were incredibly fortunate to stumble upon this idyllic paradise at the entrance to the Cinque Terre overlooking a bright blue bay with jets of sun light shining through the clouds. We didnt know where we would end up, and we struck gold with this set of rustic, but basic apartments, in an incredible setting. The value... More

We enjoyed our stay here because we had read the reviews ahead of time, knew what to expect, and booked because the items people raised in TripAdvisor seemed like trade-offs we were willing to make. To help calibrate my comments, I stay in hotels all over the world approximately 100 nights a year for business travel, from the Grand Hyatt... More

This review is LONG overdue! I've been to Italy a couple of times and every time I make a stop at Cinque Terra, I always stay here! I first discovered this place in 2001 on a backpacking trip and thought I died and gone to heaven. It is a true gem and highly recommend staying here if you want to... More

I am appalled by the poor reviews given for this establishment- I often wonder where the heck people think they are going when they plan vacations in exotic destinations- and in this case- exotic destinations on a cliff's edge! The only answer I have for the poor reviews is that the travelers who posted anything other than 4 stars did... More

We were two American women in our sixties, exhausted from travel, and certainly not expecting the rudeness and lack of consideration we encountered. The owner was so rude to me the next morning it brought tears to my eyes. He clearly hates Americans and makes no bones about it.. It left a really sour feeling. More

The place is great even if it is somewhat out of the way...4 kilometers from Riomaggiore to be exact...if you want to be in town don't stay here...if taking a few stairs to get and from your room is too much trouble don't stay here...if you can live with these inconveniences then this place is an absolute charm with breath-taking... We stayed at the Borgo di Campi in late August, for one night, in a 4 person apartment. While you do need to be warned about the steep steps down to the rooms ( a no-no with heavy luggage) the hotel really has fabulous views and it is worth the effort. In addition, their restaurant is very good, offers a... More

I wish I had read the reviews before going to this place. My advice is don't go. Staff are unhelpful, Internet is extremely limited and the airless rooms are set well down the cliff. Almost no assistance with luggage. Apart from the views there is nothing to recommend this place. The real deal breaker is that it is located well... More

First off, stay in La Spezia as it is close enough to Cinque Terre that you don`t need to stay in Cinque Terre. La Spezia is a 15 minute city bus drive away from Riomaggiore. From there you can get to any Cinque Terre town by train. If you don`t listen to this warning, then make sure you have a... More

Worst place on our whole trip, hundreds of steps with 20kg suitcases not ideal, luggage train not working. Rooms with no windows, you have to make your own beds, also in the middle of no where. However, good views and the food at the restaurant is pretty good. Not that you have a choice as to eat anywhere else you... More
