My husband and I stayed at Da Baranin in July 2011. We loved it. We had a beautiful room with a balcony that looked down onto the breakfast porch. I loved the decor in our room and the breakfast was excellent. Cappuccino was superb and included with breakfast. Staff was lovely and very helpful. We had problems with our debit... More

We arrived after 7.30 at night. After some confusion about check in time and arriving and no one there we were finally let in. Make sure your arrival time is definitely organised, we had no phone reception to ring but after help from 2 lovely ladies we got our keys. The apartment was fairly spacious for family of 4. We... This was our 4th trip to Manarola. On prior visits, we had stayed happily at Ca d'Andrean and Marina Piccola, but decided that this time we would try something different. The reviews of Da Baranin sounded lovely. When we arrived at 10pm (late train from Palermo), we telephoned the owner who gave us directions to a meeting spot, so she... More

We did the whole Cinque Terre "thing" but wanted to stay in a smaller village to experience what once must have been an idealic lifestyle before we tourists discovered it. Manarola was just such a magical place and the apartment was roomy and perfect for the whole occasion. The breakfasts and staff were fantastic. After 4 nights we did not... More

The apartments are located further from the train station than others, but Manarola is such a small town, it isn't a big concern if you are in good shape. It is quite a hike uphill though and if you have large luggages, would suggest taking the cinque terre bus to the Church piazza and walking from there. Everything is clean... More

The hotel was tucked away in the town of Manarola. We loved this small town which wasn't as touristy as the others. A small word of caution, it is quite a trek uphill and stairs to the hotel which is situated close to the top of the town and without a lift, so you must be willing to carry whatever... More

B&B situated in the upper part of the village, so if you want to go down to the (few)restaurants, bars and shops it's a firm climb to get back to your room. Advantage of this situation is that you don't have the numerous groups on your doorstep and you have the feeling staying in a real village and not in... More

My husband and I stayed at this B&B for one night at June. Our room at Baranin was across the alley with separate entrance. The room was small but well maintained, and had a small balcony with an amazing view of the vineyards, village and sea. The bathroom is very small, and the towels, like in lots hotels in Italy... My husband and I stayed at this B&B for three nights. We loved Manarola -- it was the least crowded and most charming of the 5 towns in our opinion. Our room at Baranin was across the alley and up the stairs. It was clean, well maintained, and had a small balcony with an amazing view of the vineyards, village... More

We stayed in Manarola for 3 nights and loved the whole Cinque Terre experience. In fact we much preferred Cinque Terre to the overly touristy Amalfi Coast/Positano. We found Cinque Terre to be much more down to earth. We were slightly concerned with Da Baranin due to its being 7 of 10 in reviews. This was totally unfounded as it... More
