This hotel has been totally renovated and very successfully so. It seems that no expense has been spared to get a fantastic result, from the exterior to the lobby area to the rooms. This beautiful hotel is nicely located in Trieste. Upper category rooms are clean and large with a soft bed. Too bad the breakfast is so cheap and doesn't fit at all with the hotel style, category and price. It's hard to find a parking spot in Trieste and the hotel knows it and charges a premium for parking. more

We just visited in Trieste the first 2 weeks in September. We stayed at the Starhotel Savoia Excelsior Palace. It is a beautiful historical hotel that was recently completed renovations 3 months ago. Our room was on the third floor with a balcony, just above the front entrance. The view was fantastic, the hotel is old but it is classic. The crew was very cordial and extremely helpful.
