We really enjoyed our stay at the Albergo Cappello Hotel. The best part was the location, right in the centre of town. We parked the car in a garage very close by and it took no time to walk there. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. There is... More

A mixture. You pay up for being in a fine building with delightful decor, but our room was not at all special; nothing wrong with it. You get the style in the first-floor public rooms. One of them has a kettle with tea makings and biscuits; we had a cuppa in elegant surroundings one afternoon. They'll give you the password... More

Ravenna is one of my new favorite places in the world. Albergo Cappello was so charming, modern and updated... super chic decor in the lobby and rooms were comfortable and cozy. Location was right in the middle of town - everywhere is within walking distance. I did like the adjoined restaurant - great selection of local wine, good food. Great... More

We stayed four nights. The hotel is very well appointed and well located in the heart of Ravenna’s historic centre. The hotel staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Two negatives: our room had virtually no storage except for a rather awkwardly placed wardrobe (no drawers) so we lived out of our suitcases for the duration of the stay. The... More

We stayed at the Albergo Cappello in late May, 2010. We had already been in Italy for a few days and were happy to be experiencing beautiful, warm weather. Having traveled to Italy many times I was very careful to ask when I made the reservation whether the rooms would have air conditioning functioning in the rooms on the date... More

When most visitors would consider Ravenna a day trip option, I had adhered to what was stated in the Michelin Green Guide to Italy that Ravenna is a 3 stars (the highest rating) city to visit, and booked the Albergo Cappello for a two nights stay right away. When there are not too much choices of hotels in Ravenna, it... More

This hotel is in a renovated former palazzo, with each room in the hotel containing a Venetian glass chandelier that gives it an elegant and somewhat decadent look at the same time. The place is clean, the rooms are large and somewhat sparsely furnished, with stuff that isn't up to the elegance of the old structure itself. The bathrooms are... More

We stayed in the Albergo Capello last year & loved it & so decided to have a detour to Ravenna this holiday to stay there & see the mosaics again. Many of the things we loved were still the same - the rooms are large & clean & pretty. Bathrooms are very good. The location is ideal. The female staff... More

We stayed at the Cappello for Valentine's day weekend. They offered a special package including dinner, chocolates, champagne and we were _so_ happy with everything. The room (verso il blu) was gorgeous and big... and incredibly quiet. The dinner was exquisite and came with wine and champagne. Reception was a little bit spacy, but in the end very nice. We... My husband and I stayed one night in order to view the magnificant mosaics of Ravenna. We were impressed with the beautiful renovation of the property, especially the Venetian plastering. The details of the bathroom were exceptional. It is sad that the beauty of the property was overshadowed by the coolness of the staff. I am passionate about Italy, and... More
