The red coloured buildings stand out from the green of the vines, the main house dating back to the 16th century was originally a fortified tower and was later transformed into a convent as can be seen by the vaulted ceiling and the numerous cubby holes in the thick walls.The land called d’Aibo was already mentioned in ancient scriptures dating back to the year 500 ad. These tell of how the monks living in the monastry at Monteveglio bought several plots of land in the area called Aibo vineyard and therefore prove that winemaking in this area was already a reality such a long time ago
