Very small hotel located in a building with other hotels. Rooms are very small, but in Rome you need the room only for sleep. The place is clean, and everything seems to be renovated lately. Breakfast is very modest, owner is a nice person. Close to the train station. more
Independence Square offers good value for the money. Conveniently located on a fairly quiet steet, just a 5 min walk north of Termini. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. We stayed at the independence square inn two nights while we waited to get on our cruise ship. The location isn't great since it is north of the train station but for the price it was excellent. North of the train station isn't a great area but the BB was locked up and secure. Breakfast was basic and simple, croissants... more

Spent one night - 11 th March 2008, double bed with shared bathroom, on the 2nd floor. Wonderful big room. Very very clean ( important to me and daughter). Bathroom at the end of the corridor was spotless. The receptionist / owner was business-like, a man of few words! Didn't matter to us. Will come again. more

Great location near Termini station. Restaurant downstairs was run by the same staff, and they were really lovely.
