The hotel is in a quiet area, with a beautiful garden where you can see a hedgehog in the evening if you are lucky (we were in one night). The rooms are basic, but they are very clean. Breakfast is also simple, food is the same each day. Still, there are enough things so you don't get bored in 4-5... More

This is a great Guest House in the outer suburbs of Rome. Don't let that put you off the number 46 bus from the top of the road leaves you right outside St. Peters Basilica (bus tickets on sale at the reception). The staff will tell you all the information you need to enjoy your stay in Rome. Il Romitello... More

I took a large school group to the Romitello, and have to say their service and support were fantastic! They allowed us the use of the private garden in the evenings, giving the children a safe and peaceful place to relax each day, and were flexible with the meal times to accommodate our schedule. They were even able to adapt... More

This hotel is located in quite rural area and it wasn't easy to find it. Rooms are basic ,no frills, no luxury, however clean. Breakfast had good variety of delicious food. Two male receptionists were exstremely helpful and that is the most appealing thing about this place! If you don't know Rome well and planning to stay in this hotel, make sure... More

We have really enjoyed our stay in 'Il Romitello' - the service was excellent from beginning to end: emails with enquiries beforehand were answered promptly and during the stay the staff was also always very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious enough and very clean. It might not be the most luxurious or modern place but it has everything... More

Stay here! The manager, Jose, is the best! Extremely helpful and friendly ~ actually the whole staff is incredible! The hotel is located a bus and metro ride from the center, which takes about 30 minutes ~ not bad if you don't mind taking transit or if you will be renting a car. Quiet, clean room with a fan and... Hi My husband and 3yr old stayed here. The staff were very friendly and the room was kept spotless by the maids. Our chalet was situated outside in the grounds. The bed filled most of the room, so not much room for 2 Adults and 1 lively child! If we were to stay again I would ask for a room... More

This place is not easy to be found by just using public transport. We managed in the end, but as the only means of transport was bus with a bus stop not close to the place, it was a struggle. Once you know your abouts, it actually takes only 5 min. to the bus stop and further 20 to 30... More
