To be honest our disappointment was mainly because of the price. Had the double room been less than 50euros we wouldn't have complained.
But we paid 180euros for a mini double room that was clearly not looked after, the wallpaper was coming off, the bathroom had dirt in between the tiles. One cheap push-on hand soap. Wireless internet wasn't working...

To find a room in the historic district at this price is great. Definitely not what North Americans expect from hotels (really really small)but for a Euopean budget hotel it is great. Breakfast in the AM is a nice touch and gets you on your way (no more, no less but hey what did you expect?). Rooms are clean and...

I checked in the Augustus Hotel on the hottest day of July. The first night went allright except that the breakfast was really not worth mentionning. I was then moved to a different rooom on the second night and this is where the problems began. The room smelled terrible. Also the AC unit was bust and shut down on its...

We went toRome a group of High School's students to spent 4 days in February 2010. The hotel Augustus was very nice, goods rooms, has friendly staff and we felt like at home.
It has free internet, and breakfast service:) for free
Close to the bus 62, 60 and 63 that takes you to all around Rome.
I would recomend...

Hotel Augustus was a bit surprising at first – as it’s located on the complete second floor of a historical building on piazza Fiume. At first I was puzzled, as I’ve expected to see a reception on the entry level. There is one directly after the entrance on the second floor. Once we’ve reached it – things came back to...

This hotel was rated a 4* but i feel like most European Hotels this was more like a 3*. But, it has been renovated and everything was brand new. Bathroom small and room small but you are out most of the time and only need it for a shower and a sleep after that long day of walking!! Maps are...

November 26, 2007. I have just returned from Rome where I spent 6 wonderful days. I stayed at Augustus, a very enjoyable place where I had breakfasts in bed while marveling at the ancient Roman ruins right under my window. The room was spotless clean and quiet especially at night time. It had plazma TV with an easy and free-of-charge...

When we first entered the building, I thought I was on candid camera. My second thought was that I had been scammed. There is zero resemblance of a hotel, either from the outside or the entryway. A lobby does not exist. The entryway is in shambles and I would recommend wearing a hard hat. The hotel is on the second...

We booked this through a last minute travel agency in the Termini station. When we went to inspect the room, the front desk person was extremely rude to me and my wife. They placed us in a room in the hotel next door. The bathroom was disgusting.... filled with mildew. PLEASE do not stay here. Trust me. A better option...
