Sister Katheryn was awesome as well as the other sisters in the convent. They made my entire trip memorable but helping us learn Italian and tell us of all the great hidden places that most tourists do not know about. I can not wait to come back and stay with the Sisters, this time I am hoping for my honeymoon. More

Unfortunately, the convent is closing at the end of June, 2011. This was our third stay there and Sister Kathryn and all the sisters were so kind and gracious. They will be missed and so will the great location. More

Spent the recent Thanksgiving holiday in Rome with my 15-year old son. Although we love luxurious hotels, we decided we would rather have extra cash to shop and eat in Rome. The convent made this possible. We were given a triple room, which was great. Our room was in the back and we were not bothered by noise at all.... More

The rooms were immaculate, the bathrooms very clean. The sisters were very friendly and a joy to get to know. The breakfast was simple yet substantial as we got on with our tours of the day. It is a excellent place to stay if you are budget consious and just looking for a peaceful place to sleep. It is located... More

We, a retired couple in our 60s, walked to many "must see" sites, also used several bus routes within a few feet of the building entrance. Location made it easy to take a mid-day siesta or rest. We got a room with a private bathroom including all fixtures for six of our eight day stay. Breakfast served between 8-9 am.,... More

The Istituto Santa Giuliana is an old convent located in the historic center of Rome, tantalizingly close to Piazza Navona. It is clean, comfortable, very well served and manned by nuns. This small "army" of sisters, of whom quite a few were fluent in English, was difficult to beat in terms of friendliness, efficiency and finesse. By continental standards it... More

The Istituto Santa Giuliana is a small convent one street removed from Piazza Navona. Clean and comfortable, it offers rooms of different sizes to quiet travelers. Centrally located, it is ideal for visiting Rome, most attractions being within walking distance (less than 30 minutes for the most distant). I had reserved through email (no website yet) a room with two... More

My husband and I stayed in this convent in Rome for 4 nights. Overall it was a positive experience. Our room was immaculately clean and comfortable. The nuns who ran the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed getting to know them during our stay. Breakfast consisted of croissants and bread. The hotel is in city center...
