We stayed at the Alimandi Vaticano 7 nights to be near the Vatican. It is right across the street from the Vatican Museum. Our room on the 3rd floor was very quiet and the windows opened to the inner courtyard of the apartment building next door. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet cannot be beat.... More

The hotel is located right near the entrance to the Vatican Museum. It has several cafes and restaurants in the area (the farther the Vatican cheaper). The room was nice and spacious and had a balcony (3rd floor) overlooking the plaza. The breakfast staff was friendly but the reception staff, although polite, had little initiative. Overall, an Hotel to come... More

Just back fron our trip to Rome. One of our daughters is studying abroad in Rome, so we decided to visit and have our very own personal tour guide! We chose Hotel Alimandi because of the location ( not far from our daughters campus), reviews on Trip Advisor, and Rick Steves Rome book recommendation. ( Rick Steves book was our... More

Hotel is across the street from the Vatican museum, but it is a busy street with lots of traffic and noise. Check in was seamless. We paid the bill at check in, including a 10 euro per person transfer to the airport (as this was our last hotel before heading home after 18 days and 7 hotels throughout Italy). The... More

Hotel is ideally located for the Vatican Museums, though not in the centre of the other tourist attractions of Rome. However it is near to the Metro and buses and fine if you like to walk. Hotel is very clean, with good-sized and well-furnished rooms? Only fault was our shower was abit weak and if you want to sleep late... More

Stayed here for a long weekend - a free upgrade as we had booked into the nearby Alimandi Tunisi which was being renovated - at no extra charge. Reception staff very helpful - both in Italian and English. Breakfasts were substantial for Italy - including made to order coffee and selection of hot and cold dishes - and running from... More

We stayed at both the hotel and the "Bed and Breakfast". The bed and breakfast rooms were a little roomier than the hotel, but both were excellent rooms. Very clean and well kept. A breakfast is included and is a very good meal. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a great patio on top of the hotel... More

Our group of 9 family members, ranging in age from 16 to 75, booked 4 rooms and spent 8 nights starting December 23, 2011at the Hotel Alimandi Vaticano. We chose this hotel due the value and to the proximity to the Vatican where we would be spending much time. Due to the duration of our stay, we were able to... More

This hotel is right across from the Vatican and close to several great restaurants. The rooms are small (as in all Rome hotels) but nice. Very good breakfast. Hotel can book a car to and from airport - although it will be quite expensive if you have a very early flight. You might want to keep this in mind as... More
