Lauro gave us good instructions how to reach his place and how to get in contact with him when in Rome. He made us feel at home and cared for. Simple but excellent bed and breakfast place. The coffee in the morning was delicious. When we come back to visit Rome we will ask Lauro if he has a vacant... More

I have stayed at Lauro's 4th floor B&B already three times and am looking forward to my next stay! Need I say more? Lauro Versari is a critically acclaimed theater director with a passion for life! It is his home that you enter when you settle at 4th floor b&b. The room is spatious, the bed confortable, the entire place... More

After booking the owner - Lauro - asked me my arrival time in Rome, so he could arrange everything although he had to go to work. The indication he gave me about the bus I had to take were clear, and I had no problem finding the address of the B&B. Although I was a little late, Lauro was waiting... More

I spent 5 nights with my boyfriend in the 4th floor b´n´b. Overall it was a really nice place to stay. Before we arrived we felt a little worried because of some bad reviews we read about this place. But it was not bad at all. We had a nice room with a romantic view to the backyards and all... More

We stayed in July 2011 for 3 nights at this b&b and were very happy with our stay. The host Lauro runs a unique place - as my wife observed: where else in the world can you still find a place like this – as not only the location is absolutely perfect for visiting Rome (you can reach all major... My 11 year old daughter and I stayed here in route to Ethiopia. Every aspect of staying in this godforsaken "b&b" was a joke!! We are used to camping and staying in youth hostels, but this wad by far the craziest place I've ever stayed, and I grew up living on tents and s school bus without running water and... More

Here is our experience at the Bed and Breakfast-Rome-4thfloor Just arrived they welcomed us in a very pleasant and hospitable, but saying that the room we saw on the internet was not available and then we would have to sleep in another room. A little 'uncertain, we wanted to see the other room and it immediately seemed very nice, large,... More

God i love how you can be fooled with some nice picture on a website and a cheesy description! I'd say the owner Lauro has to choose if he wants to be a writer or a hotelier because clearly he is not able to be both! I think i'll make a list of all the pros and cons and keep... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a total of 4 nights. It is right by the Vatican and only a 15 minute walk from the other major sites. The space is nothing fancy, but it was nice to go back to our quiet spacious room each night. Other than the coffee, breakfast is not amazing (Italians don't really eat... More

Just back from a four-nights stay in Rome, staying in 'The 4th Floor' close to Vatican City. I also read the reviews of the other tourist on 'www.tripadvisor.com', so I already was kind of 'prepared' before checking in... The first two nights, we also had the 'second' room at our disposal, which is a spacious one with indeed a lousy... More
