The room was spotless, the towels were clean, large and fluffy - not typical of European hotels. The family operators were kind and helpful, quick to respond to any request. A/C worked very well. Bed was a little hard, tv small, fridge didn't keep things cold, just cool, old building full of character. Only 2 blocks from metro, in a... More

It was my 3rd visit to Rome and 2nd time in this hotel. The room was big (bigger then in 4* hotel I was in summer) and even has a balcony (with a stunning view of oranges and palm trees). The room was very quiet. As everybody states the room was very clean, the breakfast was basic but good. Stuff... More

My mom and I stayed at the hotel Principe Eugenio for 3 nights in September 2011. The room we stayed in was on the bottom floor and had 2 twin beds. The room itself was equipped with a TV, desk, spacious closets, and powerful AC. The continental breakfast was sufficient and the wait staff is willing to make cappuccinos if... More

This is a small family run hotel sitated inside an apartment block based around a courtyard. While probably not the most central location, we found it very easy to get to everywhere from. It's a 15 min walk to Termini, 5-10 minute walk to a metro station which takes you to most tourists sights, 25 minute walk to the colosseum.... More

The hotel is a basically a large flat, actually an entire floor converted into rooms, but they have been kept spotlessly clean, and frankly, though small, are definitely bigger than a number of others I have stayed at in Europe, and far more comfortable. The rooms and attached bathrooms are cleaned daily, have fresh linen provided, safes, have double glazed... More

We stayed for 2 nights and were in the hotel room for only sleeping in the night. It has a very good location since the nearest metro station is only a short walk away. We took the place for that reason and did not regret it. It is not very visible but Google maps helped find the location. It is... More

Stayed here first week of August 2012 with my two sons. Very clean, nice room with balcony, private spotless bathroom with hair dryer and buffet breakfast. Breakfast included rolls, two types of meat, cereal, milk, juice, tea, coffee, pastries, hard boiled eggs, apples and toast. It was all you could eat and with two sons 16 and 20 years old... More

We stayed for 5 nights at Principe Eugeno and were pleasantly surprised, having stayed in other 'adequate' European hotels. The owners/staff are very friendly and pleasant, offering us tips on travel, dining and lesser-known touristy-attractions. Rooms are very spacious, modern and maintained to a high standard, with large bathrooms (inc.frills - shampoo, soap etc); equipped with safe, TV, telephone, full-length... More

Stayed 4 days in July. Had requested a quiet room and it was perfect. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The owners are very helpfull and the hotel is well located close to train station and metro access. We will likely return on our next visit to Rome.

There is better hotels in Rome, bu this was ok. We stay here for a week back in May 2010. Had a little difficulty with the language barrier on check and some other issues, plus it was late and we was greatful to get to bed, finally. Room was hugh, way too big for 2 people but not complaining Breakfast... More
