My wife, two kids (6 and 1) and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We went there from Boston, USA and this was our first trip to Europe. We had been warned about the small room sizes so we paid extra to get one of the larger ones so that we could use a crib for our toddler.... more

Staying at the Empire Palace Hotel was truly a great experience. It is a quiet, elegant hotel, with luxurious furnishings on a quiet street. The rooms were a little small, but were furnished beautifully and felt like a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of Rome. The bathroom though was very large and well appointed. I've seen some reviewers... more

My partner and I decided to stay a few days in Rome before we left on a 12 day cruise. The Empire Palace was recommended by a friend. We did our homework and check out the other hotels in the area and were impressed by the great reviews on Trip Advisor. We own a small Inn in Hollywood Florida, Ocean... more

Service on front desk was poor. Rooms were small. Expensive. Location OK, ten minutes walk to anywhere great. more

Bedroom extremely disappointing - no room to swing a cat. Bathroom was awful - shower over bath with inadequate protection meant that taking a shower flooded the bathroom. Bath very mouldy. Location not good for seeing the sights of Rome. more

The hotel is located within walking distance to Termini Station so you can easily get there from the airport. It's also a few minutes walk to the Republica Metro station. The location is great in terms of being close to the trains but not so great past 11:30 pm (which is when the metros stop running, til 12:30 Saturdays). You... more

My husband and I have just returned from a long weekend in Rome to watch Wales v Italy. I chose this hotel following favourable reviews and we were not disappointed. As has been mentioned, the rooms are small but this is not unusual for Rome. The bathroom had a small shower cubicle (no bath) which was OK and the toiletries... more

We found the room very small and we looked out at a Harley Davidson showroom (although there are worse views!) and not a lot of light could enter the room. The bed was rather hard but the Egyptian cotton sheets added a touch of luxury. Nice bathroom and accessories. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food. The public areas are lovely,... more

The staff was friendly. The room was clean and very, very quiet. The breakfast was good. I didn't choose this hotel myself as somebody else booked this hotel for me. I was disappointed when I arrived at the hotel and the internet in my room didn't work. The staff promised to take care of the problem but they never did.... more

We have recently spent a long weekend in Rome at the Empire Palace Hotel. It was a lovely hotel, everything you would expect from a 4*. The breakfast in particular was very very good, every taste catered for, it wasn't exactly the best "English" breakfast but this was more than made up for by all of the other wonderful breakfast... more
