Booked for two nights but only stayed one. Did not enjoy this visit. On arrival Marco was very friendly cant fault the staff, but the room was very disappointing. Had to ask for hand towels as given only very thin bath towels, they seemed very surprised when I requested this. Bathroom tiny and the mould on ceiling was not a nice feature. I understand it's in a magnificent old property, but a good wash room would have cleared some of it. (Photo att). Pillows only one each and so thin. The are in general, tea/coffee making was outside but only green tea available. I did not feel it to be vibrant etc, as stated on booking.com more watch out for beggars, pesterers. I have been in Italy now for over four weeks and stayed in 4 different rooms/hotels/camp site and was impressed with all if them but this unfortunately let me down.

Very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, actually surprisingly tarted up. The rooms have everything you need. They even came in to clean on Sunday (did not expect it). What could be improved is access: we only got one key and where depending on each other to come and open the gate and door. Not an easy thing when phone network did not work in rooms. WLAN however is free and fast. Rooms are located central, in an area a bit seedy, but we did not have any issues so far. Little nervous about the car parked outside, but landlady/-lord assured it is fine there.

We arrived at Sunshine Rooms just after 19:00 (our booking.com reservation showed arrival time of between 19:00-20:00) and waited almost an hour to get access once we finally found it (no signage at all). The owner did not answer his phone and apparently there was someone waiting outside to let us in but we missed him. Apart from stained sheets the room was clean, and in a good location close to Termini and the Colosseum.

I wanted somewhere clean and comfortable as a base for a surprise trip for the family to celebrate my wife's 40th and The Sunshine Rooms were perfect. We arrived a couple of hours before check in and even though the room wasn't quite ready, the really attentive staff were waiting for us outside to take our cases so we didn't have to lug them with us. Brilliant Service. As others have said, the location is excellent, 10 minutes through a beautiful park to the Colleseum, 30 seconds to the Metro. The only negative was the lack of a kettle on the room but with an abundance of excellent cafe's all over the place, this really wasn't an issue.

Great AC! TV didn't work but they fixed straight away. The owner gave us his cell phone and answered any hour of the day! Very clean. Love the decor! Located by colosseum and many restaurants. Walking distance to Termini. Bodega downstairs opened until 2am. 1,5€ peroni. 1€ water. Will come back!

Location - very convenient, metro station, supermarket, grocery stores, restaurants nearby, only 10-15 mins walking distance to termini (central station) and Colosseum. Price - affordable and value for money! Room - the room is clean and quite spatial, we loved the bathroom in particular! They provide pretty much everything you need, e.g. free wifi, shampoo, shower gel, hair dryers, safe deposit box, slippers and air conditioning!!! The only (small) problems are that the lights were weak and the water temperature in the shower was fluctuating. Other services - they also provide services such as everyday housekeeping (just hang the tag on the door when you leave the room in the morning) and luggage storage. Staff - the staff was nice, friendly and helpful. They waited for us by the door of the building on the day of our arrival and when we went back to collect our luggage on the last day. The only problem is that the reception is a flat on the first floor (our room is on the second floor) and it is locked, so you have to ring the bell or call them when you need them.

The sunshine hotel is a perfect, cheap and perfectly located place. A 5 minute walk from the collosseum, a 1 minute walk to the metro station to access all of Romes wonderful attractions. On first arrival (around 10pm) we struggled to get in at first - we knocked on a large door but nobody came. A lady outside smoking happened to know the place and we got in after around 15 minutes. Nice rooms, good shower and overall a lovely stay in the eternal city. Need to go back once maintenance to the Trevi fountain is complete.

I booked this trip for my fiancés 30th Birthday so because I was paying for it myself, I was on a tight budget! Saying that Sunshine Rooms were value for money! We arrived to a shabby looking building and I started to panic, thinking "oh what have I booked!" But once the owner showed us to the "tiny" lift and brought us to our room my option changed dramatically! The room was decorated to the highest standard and very modern, clean & tidy. The bedroom and bathroom are small but really all you need for a short break. There was a fridge in our room but we didn't use it as it was quite loud when we turned it on. The hotel has free FAST wifi and there is a safe in the room too. The only thing really missing was a kettle. It was about 10 mins walk away from Termini Station & around the same to the Colosseum. All in all we basically got what I paid for an should we be on a budget again and heading to Rome, I would defiantly stay here again! :)
