We had half-term holiday with 2 teenagers in Rome and stayed at Martina House B&B. We all had a great time. It is a beautiful apartment and so nice to come back after a long day in the city - like coming home to a peaceful oasis. We walked everywhere except when we tried out the metro/bus for the trip... Our room was cozy and charming. The doors, windows and floors are just beautiful in this 19th century building. Martina was a lovely host, from preparing a great breakfast to helping with directions and advice on transportation and attractions. We loved the neighborhood. It's convenient to the bus and metro, great upscale shopping and people watching. We would definitely recommend... More

My husband and I stayed at Martina House for two nights in July for our Honeymoon. First, I would like to say that Martina House is very well priced. We were expecting a bit more than we received though according to the Trip Advisor reviews we read prior to booking. The building Martina House is in is wonderful and the... More

We stayed in the family apartment (on via Toscana) a short walk from the main B&B, and well situated for all the sights in the northern part of the city (Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc.). A traditional Roman apartment on the 3rd floor, accessed by a quirky lift. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very quiet. We received a warm... More

Martina House is something a bit different, a B&B with four rooms on the fifth floor of a very smart old apartment block. A stylish old lift takes you up to the rooms (we walked up only once). The rooms, breakfast room & lobby are beautifully decorated with many original features. Our friends had a lovely room at the front... More

My wife and I only had a few days to spend on our first visit to Rome. We wanted some accommodation not to expensive, but with a personal touch and close to the attractions. Martina contacted us, before our visit, by email, in good English, with very clear instructions on how to get from the airport to Martina House. On... More

Martina was very friendly and helpful, she called us a few days before our departure to check our travelling times so she could check us in, she also arranged a shuttle from the airport to the hotel on our request. It was a perfect location you can walk to any attraction, the furthest being the vatican which takes 20-30mins max.... More

I have been to Rome before and did not want to make the mistake of choosing the wrong location. I originally chose Martina house for the location and history. They exceeded my expectations. The service was excellent. The breakfast was more extensive than you would usually get in Italy, and the woman serving it was very helpful. I would highly... More

Martina House should be looked as a well run guest house rather than a standard hotel. It is a short walk from the Villa Borghese and the Spanish Steps in the other direction. Like other reviewers we received an e-mail welcoming us to Rome and Martina gave us precise details on the many ways to get to her place. You enter... More

We stayed at martina Guest House for 4 nights in November 2009. We loved it, was a beautiful apartment within apartment block. Our room was a good size and decor and had an excellelent view looing down onto the Via Veneta road. Martina makes you breakfast every morning, coffee & tea and bread with jams and boiled eggs. she is... More
