We booked this hotel, based on the Trip Advisor recommendations. It was "Perfect" for us. Close to the train station, metro, many shops and restaurants. Everything was within walking distance including the Coleseum and Forum. The staff helped with directions and restaurant suggestions. We ate in different restaurants each night all a short walk from the hotel. We had a... More

Rome was the first stop of our Italy vacation and Hotel Canova set high standards for our hotel expecations! The customer service was amazing, and I've stayed in many 4-5 star resorts and they were good. Magdelena at the front answered any questions we asked from diing recommendations to questions about Italy. The rooms were very clean but most importantly,... More

The good: the staff were very helpful, giving us maps, helping us book tickets to sights etc. The room was big enough and clean. The location was great -it was within walking distance to everything, but it was still on a relatively quiet street, so sleeping wasn't a problem. Breakfast was included in our stay, which consisted of cold meats,... More

Just returned to Benajarafe, Malaga, after four nights at the Canover, a very late booking. I expected a small single room when I saw the photograph of the small bed on the hotel web-site, and that's exactly what I had. Very clean, well serviced and so close to the Colosseum, Roman Forum , and the Termini Metro to Piazza Spagna,... More

This cool little hotel knows it's place; it's sign outside has three stars on it along with it's name. They don't offer you elegant staircases, or luxurious suites, but they certainly do deliver with what they have. You feel welcome as soon as you walk through the front door into the small, but cosy lobby. A very friendly gentleman greeted... More

This was a great hotel with good location to sites and train/metro station. The room was very good, small but this is normal for Europe (if you want a larger room you'll pay more) at a good price. It has several LOCAL Restaurants close by. The staff was very friendly and helpful. More

The room was not ready when we got there (well after check in) and they asked us to leave our luggage in the lobby and come back in 45 minutes. WE WERE EXAUHSTED...and not to mention the pick up they scheduled for us at the airport never showed. They insist the guy was waiting for us there but we spend... More

Stayed for the third time at Canova. Excellent positioned near Termini but in quiet surroundings. Rooms have always been basic but clean. I cannot help that I am a bit dissapointed about the breakfast: 1/ Coffeemachine produces weak coffe - all alternatives are well below satisfaction 2/ Yoghurts - great but no plain for a diabetic like me and kept... All the hotels in my guide book were booked so I had to scramble and I found Hotel Canova based on the location through Google Earth. It was a great find. The hotel was well located between Termini and The Victor Emanuelle monument ( closer to Termini). The rooms were brand new, the staff was very, very friendly and the... More

Nice, small Hotel in a relatively quiet off-street. 5 Minutes walk from main station Termini and/or subway station Cavour. But beware of the old streets which will ruin ladies' shoes and/or the wheels of your luggage! I urgently recommend a taxi for about 8 Euro! - Receptionists very friendly and helpful. City map of Rome available for free. Elevator very... More
