We stayed at Cinquantatre this weekend past and were really disappointed with the experience. We payed much more than we usually do but got less service than anywhere else we have stayed. Firstly we arrived at 1.40pm unaware that checkin wasn't until 2 after checking our emails etc for 15 mins or so we asked how long until it would... More

In the centre of Rome, near Metro A Barberini station. 10 min walking distance to Villa Borghese, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc. Antique furniture, marble bathroom, wonderfull breakfast on the top of the hotel, helping staff. More

We have stayed at the L'Hotel Cinquantatre for 3 days. The location is perfect, all you need is around, whether you need Trevi Fountain, or Piazza de Ispania, or have fun at a Hard Rock cafe all is 5 minutes walk. The hotel is very safe, not pricy. However rooms are very tiny, breakfast was very poor, we could not... More

Nima was working the front desk. He was very nice and knowledgeable. He spoke great english and also spanish . We were just looking for a hotel close to the US embassy because we had immigration problems returning to USA. We were able to stay there for a few nights without a reservation. The price was very reasonable. Great location,... More

I can't understand the negative comments about this hotel. We were booked at the Hotel Modigliani and they were full so they put us in here for a night. The desk staff were all family and the owner was on the desk in the late afternoon. They all spoke excellent English and were helpful and attentive. The room was adequate... More

We booked this hotel for 3 nights in July 2010. However, when I and my wife arrived at the hotel, the man on the front desk told us he could not give our room since there was a problem related to a broken water pipe in the room. He had booked a room for us in a different hotel and... More

We stayed here for 3 nights during our honeymoon. Location: right up the street from Barberini metro stop. The metro location is convenient but it is a tad far from Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. Rooms: a little small (especially the bathroom) but adequate and clean. Several people have commented about a smell and it is a bit musty after... More

This is a small hotel in a great location if you want to be in the Via Veneto area of Rome. I spent one night in October. The hotel has 14 rooms .. 3 per floor .. based on my experience I would rate it at over priced 2 ½ stars. I paid 144 Euro for one night .. I... More

Overall: Great location, good price, bad smell The best thing about this hotel was its location -- a 10 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and not much farther to the Pantheon, Spanish Steps and some of the best squares. It was also a block from a subway stationm, making it very easy to get anywhere in Rome (we didn't... More

I booked this hotel for a surprise birthday present, staying 3 nights. I hoped it would have Italian charm and character. I didn't expect Marriot or Raddison and the price I paid suggested that. I did get friendly service, lovely breakfast, clean room serviced daily, free internet, luggage holding service and an excellent location to visit all of Rome. The direct... More
