My wife and I must have stayed at a different hotel from some of the reviewers. We just returned from our first trip overseas (celebrating our 25th anniversary), and the Hotel Principessa suited our needs well. Close to the Via Veneto, it provided a less expensive (6th night was free) and quieter starting point for our daily excursions than could... More

We were quite apprehensive about staying at this hotel after reading some of the reviews about staff behaviour but, were pleasantly surprised. Rooms are small and well appointed. Could have been little larger, though. Staff was nice and helpful. Location is little off the centre with minimal public transport connections. Breakfast was minimal especially for vegetarians. Overall, we found this... More

The hotel is newly renovated and has big spacious rooms. Ours was on the fifth floor, and had its own outside terrace. The room was clean and well-kept. However the room was terribly warm, so much so that we could not sleep the first night. When we asked the receptionist if it was possible to put on the air conditioning,... More

The hotel is not easy to find. If you aren't paying close attention you will miss it. After a long 8.5 hour flight from the states, the last thing we were expecting was an extremely rude staff. We brought our bags in down a long entrance (thank goodness the cabbie stayed to help because they certainly did not), I hand... More

A quite nice hotel, in a very convinient location close to the center of Rome and with good connection to metro stations and buses. The room was very nice, although we have a couple of complaints for the cleanliness of the bathroom. Apart from that the hotel stuff was very helpful to give us directions to various sites, or even... More

Reception staff wasn't friendly or helpful, they just give us the key and didn't inform us about breakfast or anything else Then when we asked for internet access they want me to pay for it even when that was included in the room price!!! Room was quite small but in really good order, although window view was poor. Air condition didn't... More

The front-office staff is unbelievable rude! When we entered the hotel for check in the receptionist was talking to the other person. He told us ''wait please'' without even saying hello. Later he refused to help with the advice ! concerning rent a car in Rome. The breakfast ,room was very poor. We did not receive any hospitality at all.... More

We stayed in this hotel, (previously named "Principessa Tea) last year in march: at the time the hotel was undergoing a massive restructuring of the rooms and common areas. It was good to come back and see the whole hotel refurbished, beautiful entrance, very good decor in rooms, in ancient 1800's style, the room i got was on the 5th... More

We stayed in August 2011 and found the hotel very clean and comfortable . We also found the staff were very helpful particularly the young man that worked the evening shifts. The breakfast was outstanding and the location was excellent . If we ever go back to Rome we will certainly be going to this hotel . Thankyou for the... More
