Just got back from Rome. Thanks to all the comments here i had really low expectation from this hotel. So why still chose this hotel? Because of the nearnest to central train station, the relatively low price and because other hotels were booked out. So therefore i was pleasantly suprised when it wasn't as bad as i thought. Okay. Location:... More

We found the hotel 5mins after we stepped off the train, so great location. good restaurants and cafes nearby. lovely old building, renovated inside. a warm welcome. room not quite ready so we breakfasted nearby. four separate beds for us - very good! good-sized room, nice bathroom. excellent buffet breakfast included in our price. a lot of different people on... This is my second stay at the Madison, and again it was comfortable, clean and well appointed, with gracious concierge help as well as a full delicious breakfast. The location - a few steps from the termini is like all of Rome - busy with lots of foot and motor traffic - but well insulated windows create a quite restful... More

Agree with the reviews of the other travelers and quite happy that a room for us wasnt available! The receptionist is unfriendly and made us wait (it was HOT!) while she cooly told us that a whole floor of the hotel was under renovation - frankly we couldnt believe one bit of what she said. Even the area where it... More

Stayed 2 days. Rooms were not available for check in at 2:00 p.m. The unfriendly receptionist made us stand around till the rooms were ready (only 2 seats in the reception). AC didnt work. Locks got jammed. Vending machine ate all the money. The hotel website advertises free WiFi - but that is just a big lie. Never stay there... More

We stayed at this hotel due to its proximity to Termini Station. We stayed for a total of 3 nights. The first room they gave us had an awful stench of mould. We complained with the day receptionist and was told that someone would have a look at the room whilst we were out. When we returned there was a... More

That was really bad!!! We have made a reservation for this hotel and by the time we get there they said they have canceled our reservation and put us in another hotel far away from this one. How come they do such a thing??!!! The worst was that we have arrived at 11.30 pm, very very tired after being traveling... More

The Madison Hotel is conveniently located right across from the train station. The room was very clean, nice bathroom and the best continental breakfast we had throughout our travels. Our bed was comfortable and a very quiet hotel considering the location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to store our bags for the day so we... More

I would only recommend this hotel if you are in Rome for one night and need convenient access to the train station or airport. If you are looking for Roman atmosphere, some kind of decent view, perhaps some romance and ambience, you won't find it here. The Madison is directly across from the train station - great, but generally speaking,... More
