Just got back today from a lovely and absolutely splendid break in Rome. This was my first stay at St.Brigida convent and it really ticked all my needs, except that it is rather pricey compared to other religious structures but in honesty I have to admit that the facilities do justify their prices since the place is tightly run, with... We stayed at the convent for one night on in September. The location is heavenly - right on the Piazza Farnese and walking distance to most sights and with the lively Il Campo steps away. The room was simple, but had all the amenities (well, no tv), an ensuite bathroom with a shower, and a lovely view of the piazza.... More

Great, safe location in a nice square and next to another pretty one with plenty of places to eat and drink. About 20 minutes by bus from the trains station and ten a 10 min walk. Much cheaper than a station taxi! Clean and more than adequate accommodation. Quiet location. Evening meal ok but nothing special. Bonus is there are... More

I concur with other reviewers who have praised Casa de Santa Brigida for being a sanctuary from the hustle of Rome. It's a great place for older women travelers, but the convent atmosphere might be less comfortable for couples, families with children and younger travelers. The location is ideal for accessing the major attractions in the historic heart of the... More

This charming convent made a wonderful base for a group of 12 friends traveling from the United States. The accommodations were immaculate and the security is very good. The sisters were charming and served a wonderful breakfast each morning. There was always hot water and the air conditioning worked well. The location is within easy walking distance of the Pantheon,... More

This is my first trip to Italy; starting out by spending a few days in Rome. I'd read about this in Rick Steve's and am SO glad I chose this location. I have a fantastic view overlooking the Piazza Farnese, and am just around the corner for Campo de Fiori. My room overlooks the Piazza, and although it can be... More

I just suggested this peaceful place in the middle of Rome to my friend at work, who is traveling with his Mom ( 80ish). I stayed there 4 years ago and loved it. Great hospitality and serene. Enjoy the roof terasse with it's views of the pictursque rooftops and down to the plaza. Great restaurants, plazas and charm surrounds this... More

Simple, clean rooms -- no tv and complicated Internet. Don't expect a hotel, this is a beautiful convent and the sisters are lovely. We traveled there with our 3 small kids, a bit worried about no tv and the reviews that talked about how quiet the place was. Sisters loved having our kids and showered them with attention and affection.... More

The Sisters were great. We ate dinner twice here and it was really like eating at a relatives. My small children took all three courses and lest face it it's not often that happens when you travel! The location was great and we walked almost everywhere. The Sisters can give you a pass to see the Papal Mass but it's... More

We spent a wonderful two weeks here in June 2012. We hadn't planned on having dinner at the Casa, but did so on the first night as we were too tired to go out. Based on that first meal we decided to pay the additional fee and have dinner there every day - the sisters make their own bread and... More
