San Giuseppe Della Montagna is a clean, cheap and nice hostel right outside the Vatican wall. It's perfect for anyone who wants a quiet, solemn place to rest between trips around Rome! Service is excellent, breakfast simple but good (the coffee is excellent!) and the environments are very relaxing, even spiritual. The sisters have a nice garden, where guests can hang out, and you can also use the chapel for prayer or participate in Mass.

Rooms are small, simple (this is after all a convent so there's no radio, no TV, just a phone) and very clean.

Location is great, especially if you're on a pilgrimage - you can't get much closer to the Vatican and St Peter's Basilica! But if you want to leave that area there are buses and tube stations quite near.

YOu can also find a very good internet café just about 250 meters away - it's cheap and well functional for anyone who needs to take care od some business while in Rome. more
