If you are looking for a hotel that has North American amenities, this is not the place to go. However, if you want to have a typical Roman experience, being close to everything (Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Campo d'Fiori etc) you will want to stay at this hotel. Don't expect four-star accomodations but do expect friendly and honest atmosphere. In addition,... more

We stayed for six nights at Albergo Della Lunetta in Rome. It has a great location near Campo di Fiori, friendly staff, but an old building with some quirks. Overall a good value but be prepared to deal with the quirks. The location is great. It is steps away from the Campo di Fiori, but the Piazza del Paradiso is... more

I stayed here with my fellow classmates when we studied abroad in Rome for 6 weeks. YES, I stayed here for 6 weeks. The beds were comfortable; the room and bathroom were clean; the room was spacious (for the location and price); the staff was very tolerant (there were 42 18-22 year old college students staying here at once), kind,... more

This was a good value, but I would not stay here again. The rooms reminded me of empty college dorm rooms. They were clean and the staff was very nice. However, we were visiting the beginning of June. While it was pleasant outside in the evenings, our room was higher up and there was absolutely no air circulating in our... more

Reserve several months in advance if you want to stay in this wonderful hotel close to Campo dei Fiore in Rome's centro storico. This lovely little hotel puts you within easy walking distance of some of Rome's most famous sights, like Piazza Navona and the Pantheon and the morning market at Campo dei Fiore. For the more ambitious, it's a... more

Technically this place is a hostel type hotel, definetly not a 5 star. Clean rooms, bathrooms fairly clean, small rooms, staff friendly but not fluent English all the time, over priced, and a great location, but no AC which sucks. I was a student, for a older couple bad for a family with little ones bad with teenagers good and... more

The Della Lunetta has a great entry but needs updating. The room was rather funky and tired. Bathroom was pretty grim. The staff is nice but no one spoke English. We we're able to move to the S'meralda Hotel just around the corner where we had a nice room, updated and clean and a very helpful English speaking staff. more

In spite of some decent reviews here, the Lunetta is hardly an acceptable hotel. I had reservations for the second week in May; one night was all we could take. Our room had one window on an air shaft, which not only let in no light, but magnified the noises of seeming dozens of families with their arguements and screaming... more

My goal in visiting Rome is to walk everywhere, drink as many espressi in the bars as I can before I get the shakes, enjoy restaurants surrounded by locals, and generally soak up the atmosphere. In a hotel, I look for location (central but in a piazza or quiet street), basic comforts (en suite), and value for money. I had... more

We decided that we wanted a central hotel so that we could walk to all of the sites in Rome during our few days there in January. As we spend so little time in the hotel, we wanted to save money on accommodation to spend on having fun. The Albergo della Lunetta fitted the bill perfectly. The staff were remarkably... more
