We booked one night at the Fontana on October 19th before embarking on a mediterreanean cruise with Celebrity Equinox. Yes, this is an expensive property ( very unique with only 24 rooms ). We were given a room facing the Trevi fountain, what a wonderful experience, watching the crowds mill around the fountain area. It was a beautiful day as... More

This hotel is situated in the most perfect position overlooking Trevi fountain. It’s easy walking distance to all the monuments and Vatican City. The view of the fountain from the breakfast room is excellent. We were given a room at the back which should have been quiet but the lift is so old and noisy it was impossible to sleep.... More

Small rooms for the price but great location. Located in front of the famous Trevi fountain, a short walk to nearly evrything important; the colosseum, the roman forum, the constantine arch, piazza nevada and the famous streets for shopping, there is also a bus stop with buses going to Vatican City for 1 euro More

This hotel is the simplest, least fancy hotel I've ever stayed in that warrants an excellent review. The hotel is an old monastery that overlooks the Trevi Fountain. The opportunity to sleep, wake up and eat breakfast overlooking the fountain is the attraction. The rooms are more than basic - they are monastic, of course. But pretty in their simplicity.... More

Walking distance to the main tourist attractions. Our room was very small, bathroom was tiny and after the shower there was water all over the bathroom floor. Breakfast service is very rude. Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Never again. More

I agree with Alison, Julia and Jovik. Poor service all the way through, old furniture ,bed was not comfortable, small rooms, so noisy with the fountain and tourists, could not sleep due to noise. I paid 230 Euro for one night in this 3 star hotel with absolutely no service. I was in the room with so called view but... More

Fantastic location but appalling service.Arrived at breakfast on our last morning to find no clean table so cleared one ourselves. There was no juice ,no pastries- actually there wasn't much.Another guest phoned the manager to say help was needed. He arrived upstairs and in front of all the guests he told us we had to wait in a very rude manner! The... More

I am writing this as I feel compelled to advise travellers who might be on the verge of booking this hotel to think twice. I was staying at the hotel at the same time as Jovik below, so I can vouch for the fact the the manager Andrea Arte is SO RUDE it is beyond belief that he is working... More
