I have stayed at Ranieri 5 or 6 times over the last 13 years and have always found it to be a good bargain. It is clean and the staff is courteous and helpful. Luana and Diego take care of their guests and Carlo makes a divine cappuciino! more

Although when first arriving tired, this hotel looked not so good...you have to go up one flight off street level to the front desk....but....my wife and I can't say enough about how gracious the front desk conciere named "Diego" was to us!! So welcoming and spoke excellent English...sold us tickets for the Metro and helped make our stay so pleasurable... more

We stay at Hotel Ranieri for 4 nights. Unfortunately on the second day, money was taken from our room. The hotel took no responsibility for this loss even after promising to give us one night free. Also, the location is not very convenient. more

this hotel did not resemble the description given on the website. the room , on entering, had a damp smell and there was visible damp on one wall. the porter was the only friendly member of staff that we encountered. the reception staff all spoke English but each encounter with them was as impersonal as the first. the room was... more

The hotel has a very friendly staff and standard european rooms. The bathroom in the room was clean and a nice size. The breakfast in the morning is fine with bread, pastries, meats, cheeses and cereal. The only downside to this hotel is the location as its a bit of a walk to any of the popular areas of Rome... more

We stayed a Hotel Ranieri between 28 September and 5 October 2006. The room was clean and tidy with in house safe and trouser press! We had satellite TV and a comfortable bed as well. The bathroom appered reasonably new with plenty of fresh towels. The shower was over the bath with shower curtain. The staff spoke good english and... more

For my first trip to Rome I stayed at the Ranieri with a friend. It was OK. The room was fine, very clean, quiet aircon, plenty of hot water, quiet rooms, if a bit small, and basic, though it did have a trouser press! The staff sounded like they were from London until you heard them speak Italian. Somehow it... more

My wife won a sales competition at work and the prize was a free weekend stay in Rome. Initially we were offered other hotels but after looking at the reviews on this site we refused them! The travel agency then suggested the Ranieri. I was a little wary after reading some of the reviews but I can honestly say we... more

Stayed at the Ranieri for four nights with my husband on our trip to Rome. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Lovely bathroom. Free Internet. We were at the front but the traffic wasn't noisy. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we bought bus tickets from the hotel - the bus stops were just opposite.... more

We booked three nights at the Ranieri at the first part of a two week trip to Rome, Florence, Venice and Tuscany with my husband and two teenage daughters. We didn't make a final decision to go to Italy until April due to schedule conflicts, so we didn't have a wide choice of hotels by that time. We spent the... more
