Wow, this was horrible. The hotel's own internet site says that rooms have minibars and TVs. What a joke. Not only did we get a bare room with no TV, no minibar, no phone, no internet, but it also was missing fairly standard things like a means of egress! In fact, our room had no window, no ventilation whatsoever and... more

First of all, if you are planning your holiday in Rome from Serbia, don't ever do it through Kontiki travel agency: they will put you in the hotel you didn't choose, which you are told at the airport (when there is nothing you can do about it :-(. I agree with the most horrible comments I read on this Trip... more

We arrived late and the walk from station dodgy (esp for females). The night watchman does not speak any English and was of no help. He also took our passports off us, which I was very uncomfortable with. The rooms were VERY down at heel, with the lamps being broken, the shower broken and the blanket was simply gross. The... more

Good location for train station. But rooms were really old and the service at breakfast (which stops at 9.30!) was a little bit rude. Also, our door had been forced to be opened (before we arrived), it is not a safe place in the city. more

Hotel California is located near Termini Station, but far enough to be away from some of the "traffic" - about 5 - 10 minutes walk. Their website was helpful BUT I found making the booking a little confusing - I ended up calling to confirm the rate & dates of stay as I could not believe how informal they were... more

having read the reviews we were really nervous about going, expected the worst hotel in the world but it wasn't that bad (obviously previous contributors have not stopped in Blackpool in the middle of November). yes the area does has its beggars and dodgy looking people walking around but it is 2 minutes away from the central transport hub of... more

4 nights in mid-July with air-con that switches off after 2 mins!!!! Need I say more? We thought the lift hilarious - high point of stay! Rooms - down-at-heel - linen clean, fridge cold - but that's it! Breakfast was POOR - very little on offer and what was, very poor quality. Location a bit rough but we had no... more

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The sheets were very rough, the pillows were flat, the comforter was old, had cigarette burns and did not smell like it had been washed in quite some time. The refrigerator did not get cold. As for the air conditioning, you have no control over it. It barely comes on... more

From reading the last reviews, I have been inspired to write my own account of the hotel. I being a jedi master did not find the hotels facilities sutible for any living being on any living planet except maybe Jabba the Hutt. But even he would hire a bounty hunter to eliminate the owner when he saw the 150 steps... more

Well..... Our hotel journey started 150 steps at the bottom of the staircase next to a wooden box attached to a rope with iron bars around it for 'support'! Because none of us trusted the 'lift' we all used the stairs.... all 34 of us.... 150 stairs.... with our luggage.... ya so upon our arrivals to the rooms we noticed... more
