This was everything I would expect of a 4 star Hotel: well appointed, clean, good service etc, etc. Although noise from the road can be a problem anywhere in Rome, this Hotel appears to be well insulated against sound disturbance. The location is excellent and within easy walking distance of all the sights and many eating places. There are many... more

Great hotel, great location. Breakfast was in with the price and was most enjoyable. Friendly service. Excellent views from roof top breakfast room - you could see the Vatican! Short walk from Trevi fountain and not too far away from Spanish steps. Metro just around the corner for further distance travelling eg Vatican and Colosseum (if you don't fancy the... more

Just come back from a week in Rome. We organised as independent travellers via email and needed special help and advice for an elderly parent in a wheelchair. Whilst Rome is not wheelchair friendly and the Hotel Barberini does not specifically cater for wheelchairs the Hotel staff could not have done more. They organised cars to and from the airport... more

The hotel itself was very nice and modern, but the hotel room was robbed while we were out to dinner (less than 2 hours after arrival). There was no forced entry and the windows on the 4th floor are unreachable from the ground. The staff refused to call the police and refused to acknowledge that someone on the staff could... more

We are just back from a lovely romantic honeymoon in Rome, where we stayed for 4 nights in the Barberini. Upon arrival we were greeted with champagne then showed to our room, which was bigger than I expected, as I thought most hotel rooms in Rome would be small, but it was fine. The location is great, just near a... more

If you're going to stay in Rome, stay at the Hotel Barberini. We booked 2 rooms for 5 people for 2 nights. I can't say enough about the great service, the fantastic location, and the hotel itself. The rooms aren't huge (few are in Europe), but they were a lot larger than we expected. Very comfortable, and very well appointed.... more

Just returned from the Hotel Barberini in Rome. Location is great as it is just off the Piazza Barberini which is in walking distance to many sights. I liked that is tucked away off of any main streets that can be very noisy. The room was small but very clean and nicely appointed. The rooms are soundproofed so sleeping was... more

This was a really nice hotel. Clean, comfortable, and nice staff. The breakfast was really nice. Staff were pleasant. The only downside was the size of the room. more

I stayed at the Hotel Barberini in June for two nights. I arrived in Rome at 9am, and upon getting out of the cab at the hotel was accosted by a gypsy and her two children who unsuccessfully attempted to pickpocket me. Believe what you hear about them, they are very clever and I caught her with her hand in... more

My wife and I recently got married and spent our honeymoon in Europe. We spent our last three days and nights in Rome, Italy. My wife had been to Rome in the past and wanted to stay near the Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps. She found the Hotel Barberini on the internet and liked the location of the hotel and... more
