Without doubt this is the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in. Rooms were dirty with carpets that have not been cleaned for years. Staff were rude and un-interested. When I asked to see the manager, I was told that he agreed the hotel was not in good state of repair but the owners were not interested in funding developments.... More

We stayed in this hotel at the end of our family vacation. We had actually booked accommodations elsewhere which we walked into and immediately started looking for something else. The Cicerone is what we found. It is comfortable and well maintained. It is certainly not the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in (I didn't walk around without slippers in... More

Concierge was rude, reception staff even ruder. One of the lifts didnt work. The hall carpet was badly worn. The photos pictured on their website is nothing like the reality. Rooms were decrepit. Whole place needed upgrading. No free internet. Worst hotel we stayed at in Italy More

We stayed for a week with 3 adults. We had the best service. The breakfast buffet was unbelievable. Lots of food choices and even espresso/cappuccino on demand. Price was very reasonable. Location the best. Lots of high quality restaurants around, especially Ristorante Ambasciata Di Capri. Also free Wi-Fi internet 2 blocks away at Mondo Arancina 38 Via Marcantonio Colonna. More

We were here with family; and this is a hotel that conforms to North American standards more than most. It is modern, spacious and has rooms for three or four, which is a plus in an European hotel. The breakfast is varied and ample. The staff are helpful and seem genuinely happy to help. Many speak English quite well -... More

The rooms at Cicerone are very basic but seemed very clean. The hotel is in a great location which was a definite plus. The staff was very helpful with our luggage, with making reservations for us, and for giving us tips on what to do in the city. We would stay here again. More

Our family booked the Cicerone a year in advance and when the seven of us arrived, we were told taxis were going to take us to a "comparable" hotel because our rooms at the Cicerone were flooded. We were asked to pay them first and they would bill the other hotel. When we refused, we were treated very rudely by... More

We have stayed at the Cicerone Hotel on 4 occasions. The staff never seem to change. They are really helpful and the position of the hotel is great. Many of the rooms have been upgraded and it is a very comfortable room, certainly not delux but very adequate. The neighbourhood is really safe to walk through in the evening. The... More

Staying on tour requires a rapid move through checkin, and breakfast as usually someone is last, and late... The lines at check in are long, at breakfast long... but overall the stay was ok... The rooms are ornate ... maybe excessively so ... But the location is excellent in easy stroll of some of the sites... No iron in room... More
