Not the greatest of hotels. Front desk alittle cold. Baggage attendents were right on it. Bartenders marco and dominico are true profesionals and gentlemen. They made us feel welcome! More

The hotel was comfortable, clean and well located. The staff was most helpful especially Louis, the night concierge. Easy walk to the Vatican. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. More

Hotel is a 10 minute, easy walk to the central Piazza and not far from Vatican City. Was there for 2 nights as part of a tour, so did not try the restaurant onsite. We did get a breakfast buffet that was good, with a lot of choice. Hotel is old, feels like the 70's, but very clean. Front desk... More

I stayed at this hotel for only one night. I was not impressed by the decor or condition of the hotel. The rooms where large by Europen standards. The carpet wall coverings and drapery in my room gave me the creeps. It was very dated and did not give me the feel of being in a clean room. I found... More

The Cicerone is within comfortable walking distance of the Vatican City, but not for the elderly. A metro station is a few blocks away, giving access to the Spanish Steps and Termini Station area. However, generally its location is not ideally for those wishing to see the sights. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast buffet is varied and tasty.... More

From the television stations, including the constant USA bashing Russia Today, (among others) to the completely rude staff do not expect to be treated decently if you are American. This hotel and staff were equally pathetic and an affront to ones senses. I mean that literally. Be sure to bring along some extra deodorant to hand out to the staff.... More

We stayed at the Cicerone Hotel as part of a tour group, so you don't expect the best , but you do expect clean and comfortable, the Cicerone offers neither. The location is ok, not great but not terrible, there was not much around it. The rooms were a decent size, but the room was very tired and the walls floors... More

My wife and I traveled for 16 days with 3 other couples and our trip ended in Rome. We had prepaid our vacation 6 mos.+ prior to our departure date only to find out that one couple could stay at this hotel and 3 couples were moved to another hotel. The only explanation that we could interpret was there was... More

Part of an organised Page&Moy holiday. The staff were very helpful and friendly for a very large city hotel dealing with numerous demanding overseas guests. Very good breakfast despite very busy dining room . Items replenished frequently. Excellent location. Numerous eating places locally. BIGGEST down side is its used by many tour operators including "cruise" stays. TOO MANY Americans who... More
