We have stayed in quite a few Sofitel Hotels in Europe and North America and have never been anything else other than extremely satisfied. And so for Sofitel Roma Villa Borghese - but if anything this hotel even surpassed our previous Sofitel experiences in terms of comfort, service and value. On top of which it is superbly situated just of... More

I stayed in this hotel as part of my honeymoon to france and italy for 3 days. It is a nice property, mostly in the five star hotel way, not really what comes to mind when you think of a Villa. The room was nice and spacious with a beautiful romanesque balcony. The bathroom was especially exquisite, designed in an... More

Great location (walking distance to fountain Trevi, etc) and service at the hotel. The lounge on 7th floor is too pretentious - service is very slow and not too friendly, so would not recommend that. Other than that, great hotel! More

I booked this trip as a present for my husband's 50th. The checking in was fantastic & they were very helpful giving us a map and selection of leaflets and circled all major tourist points. Our room was very disappointing considering I had also upgraded to a luxury suite and they knew it was a special occassion. The view from... More

Alright, this is kind of a late review as I stayed twice at this hotel in July 2011 but never got round to writing a review before. So hopefully, things haven't changed much since I left. Reception was excellent, check in and check out went very fast. Helpful staff. Clean and nice room but a little small. I came back... More

On our honeymoon in Roma we loved Sofitel Roma Villa Borghese and would recommend it to anyone for something special and romantic to explore the Eternal city. Nearby to both the Spanish steps and Villa Borghese - Sofitel was a perfect romantic home base in Rome with great service, sound and forthcoming city advice, large well appointed rooms (very romantic... 7th floor terrace cafe has the most magnificent view of the city, and the food is tasty too. Vibrant mix of edgy decor in public areas and more traditional furnishings in the room. Marvellous bedding. Deep bath tub and rain shower plus wand. Windows open and have shutters and/or black out curtains. Smoking is allowed, but hotel is not smelly.... More

The staff was accommodating, the room was ok and they nickel and dime you for everything. But that is Rome for you. It's a big city and I guess that's how it goes. Our original room was a bit small so we requested a room change, they were very nice about it especially Luca who showed us 2 rooms. The... More

The style of this hotel is "intimate" rather than "grand". There is not much of a lobby but it works fine. The rooms are bright, spacious, and very appealing. Decor is elegant but restrained. These are the kind of rooms I hope to see when I book a 5-star hotel in Europe. Well worth the price my party paid. The... More
